Inleiding
HERENHUIS uit ca. 1910 dat herinnert aan de oorspronkelijke rijkere dorpsbebouwing van Denekamp, markant gelegen aan een belangrijke uitvalsweg.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis opgetrokken op rechthoekige plattegrond over één bouwlaag onder een samengesteld dak met bruin-rode Hollandse pannen. Aan de NO-hoek is onder een schilddak met afgesnoten hoeken een hoekpartij over twee bouwlagen gebouwd, met een driezijdige erker en balkon aan de voorgevel (N). Aan de zijgevel (Z) is een erker met plat dak gebouwd, aan de achterzijde (W) een (bij)keuken onder zadeldak. Het woonhuis met aanbouwen staat op een grijze cementen plint, de gevels zijn witgepleisterd. In voor- en zijgevels zijn op de begane grond samengestelde vensters met meerruits bovenlichten aangebracht onder segmentbogen. In de vensters van de erker, die gescheiden worden door kolommen met kapitelen, komt deze segmentboog terug in de roedenverdeling. Boven de erker is een venster onder segmentboog aangebracht onder een steekkap. In de andere zijgevel is op dezelfde wijze een drielicht venster aangebracht. Op de verdieping van de hoekpartij is in deze gevel een samengestelde vensterpartij in zijn geheel gevat in een cirkelvormige lijst.
In de achtergevel is boven het wolfdak ter plaatse van het uilebord een halfrond venster aangebracht.
In het dak dakkapellen onder lessenaarsdak. Op alle nokeinden zijn pironnen aangebracht. Langs de dakranden loopt een gootlijst op klossen.
Waardering
Het herenhuis is van algemeen architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege:
- de kwaliteit van het ontwerp in een stijl waaruit de invloed van de Art Nouveau spreekt.

MANOR HOUSE from circa 1910 that recalls the original wealthier village buildings of Denekamp, markedly situated on an important exit road.
Description
Dwelling house erected on a rectangular plan over one storey under a composite roof with brown-red Dutch tiles. At the NE corner a corner section over two storeys is built under a hipped roof with cut-off corners, with a three-sided bay window and balcony on the front facade (N). On the side facade (S) a bay window with flat roof is built, on the rear side (W) a (secondary) kitchen under a gabled roof. The dwelling house with additions stands on a grey cement plinth, the facades are whitewashed. In front and side facades on the ground floor composite windows with multi-pane fanlights are placed under segmental arches. In the windows of the bay window, which are separated by columns with capitals, this segmental arch recurs in the glazing bars. Above the bay window a window under segmental arch is placed under a steep roof. In the other side facade a three-light window is placed in the same manner. On the storey of the corner section a composite window arrangement in this facade is entirely set within a circular moulding.
In the rear facade above the half-hipped roof at the position of the owl board a semi-circular window is placed.
In the roof roof dormers under lean-to roof. On all roof ridge ends finials are placed. Along the roof edges runs a gutter moulding on corbels.
Valuation
The manor house is of general architectural-historical and urban planning importance because of:
- the quality of the design in a style that expresses the influence of Art Nouveau.
