Een in 1873-74 aangelegd landschappelijk PARK van de voormalige buitenplaats Beukenrode. De Beukenrodelaan, een zijstraat van de Driebergsestraatweg vormt de hoofdentree tot het park en is aan de westzijde bebouwd met vrijstaande villa's die onderdeel zijn van een kleine woonwijk langs de Driebergsestraatweg. Twee hekpijlers markeren de grens en de entree van het park. De geasfalteerde oprijlaan maakt hierna een flauwe bocht naar rechts en vervolgens weer naar links. Langs de linkerzijde staan een aantal paviljoens die na de Tweede Wereldoorlog in dit deel van het park zijn gebouwd. Mede door de aanwezigheid van deze paviljoens, maar ook door het verstoorde padenpatroon, is het park aan de linkerzijde van de oprijlaan buiten de bescherming gelaten. Ter hoogte van het speelhuisje heeft de oprijlaan een aftakking naar rechts, die naar het landhuis leidt. De weg die in noordelijk richting verder loopt leidt naar het parkbos en fungeert tot aan de kavelgrens van perceel A 6728 tevens als complexgrens. Hier loopt de grens in westelijke richting tot aan de Broekweg. Vervolgens loopt de grens langs de Broekweg in noordelijke richting tot aan de Arnhemsebovenweg, waarna de grens in oostelijke richting langs laatstgenoemde weg loopt. Bij de Stamerweg loopt de grens in zuidelijke richting tot aan de Driebergsestraatweg. De grens volgt laatstgenoemde weg in westelijke richting tot aan de Beukenrodelaan. Het park bestaat uit twee delen: een weidegebied met landschappelijke structuurelementen vóór het huis en een parkbos achter het huis. Het weidegebied wordt aan de oost- en westzijde afgeschermd door bomen. Vanaf de openbare weg is een zichtlijn op het landhuis geprojecteerd. In de weide zijn nabij het landhuis op diverse plekken solitaire bomen en boom- en struikgroepen geplant die de dieptewerking versterken. Hier ligt ook een slinger- of serpentinevijver, waarin zich een klein eiland bevindt. Deze vijver bestond al vóór 1873 maar had toen een S-vorm. Direct achter het huis bevindt zich een licht geaccidenteerde, open weide van waarover een zichtlijn op het huis is geprojecteerd. Ook loopt een zichtlaan in noordelijke richting van de Oude Arnhemsebovenweg die aan weerszijden met volwassen beukenbomen is beplant. De laan loopt door een omvangrijk parkbos. Het achterste deel van deze laan heeft aan de linkerzijde van de laan vier rijen beukenbomen. Aan het eind van de laan staan vier hekpijlers die de grens van het park markeren. Deze laan is een oudere structuur die uit de eerste helft van de negentiende eeuw stamt. Op de topografische kaart van 1847 wordt deze laan aangeduid als `Weg op het Verandahuis'. Door het parkbos zijn vele zandpaden aangelegd waarvan niet duidelijk is of ze uit de aanlegperiode stammen of latere wijzigingen, dan wel toevoegingen zijn.
In de noordwestelijke hoek van het parkbos ligt een tweede vijver, die thans nagenoeg drooggevallen is. Het betreft een komvormige vijver met een rechte sloot die in oostelijke richting loopt. Over de sloot, nabij de vijver, heeft een brug gelegen maar is tegenwoordig geheel verdwenen. Aan de noordzijde van de vijver bevond zich een aanlegsteiger, waarvan de restanten nog zichtbaar zijn. Nabij deze steiger heeft vermoedelijk een prieel of huisje gelegen, waarvan nog enkele brokstukken verspreid in het bos liggen.
Waardering
Het landschappelijk park van de voormalige buitenplaats Beukenrode is van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de ontwikkelingsgeschiedenis, alsmede van architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een landschappelijk aangelegd park uit het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw met structuren uit het eerste kwart van de negentiende eeuw. Tevens van grote ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van de Stichtse Lustwarande.

A landscape PARK of the former country estate Beukenrode laid out in 1873-74. The Beukenrodelaan, a side street of the Driebergsestraatweg, forms the main entrance to the park and is built up on the west side with detached villas which form part of a small residential area along the Driebergsestraatweg. Two gate piers mark the boundary and entrance to the park. The asphalt drive then makes a gentle curve to the right and subsequently to the left. Along the left side stand a number of pavilions built in this part of the park after the Second World War. Partly due to the presence of these pavilions, but also due to the disturbed path pattern, the park on the left side of the drive has been left out of the protection. At the level of the playhouse, the drive has a branch to the right, which leads to the manor house. The path which continues further in a northerly direction leads to the park woodland and serves as far as the plot boundary of parcel A 6728 also as complex boundary. Here the boundary runs in a westerly direction as far as the Broekweg. Subsequently the boundary runs along the Broekweg in a northerly direction as far as the Arnhemsebovenweg, after which the boundary runs in an easterly direction along the latter road. A sight avenue also runs in a northerly direction from the Oude Arnhemsebovenweg, which is planted on both sides with mature beech trees. The avenue runs through an extensive park woodland. The rear part of this avenue has four rows of beech trees on the left side of the avenue. At the end of the avenue stand four gate piers which mark the park boundary. This avenue is an older structure dating from the first half of the nineteenth century. On the topographic map of 1847, this avenue is marked as 'Weg op het Verandahuis'. Through the park woodland many sand paths have been laid, of which it is not clear whether they date from the period of establishment or are later alterations or additions.
In the northwestern corner of the park woodland lies a second pond, which is now virtually dried up. It is a basin-shaped pond with a straight ditch which runs in an easterly direction. Over the ditch, near the pond, a bridge once stood but is nowadays entirely gone. On the north side of the pond was a landing stage, of which traces are still visible. Near this landing stage there presumably lay a summer house or shelter, of which some fragments are still scattered in the woodland.
Valuation
The landscape park of the former country estate Beukenrode is of cultural historical value because of its history of development, as well as of architectural historical value as an example of a landscape-designed park from the last quarter of the nineteenth century with structures from the first quarter of the nineteenth century. Also of great ensemble value as part of the Stichtse Lustwarande.
