Omschrijving complexonderdeel 17: OOSTELIJKE MOESTUINMUUR opgetrokken in de tweede helft van de19de-eeuw uit rode waalformaat bakstenen met in het midden een brede twee vleugelige toegangspoort. De poort heeft aan beide zijden forse 2,5x2,5 steens brede pijlers die bij de koppen voorzien zijn van siermetselwerk van uitspringende baksteen lagen en afgedekt door bakstenen met Portland gestucte dekplaten. Op de dekplaten zijn 4 bogen van ijzeren pijp geplaatst. De hekken in de poort zijn van hout en hangen aan gesmede ijzeren hengen en duimen; op brede houten dwarsstijlen en schoren aangebrachte brede spijlen, 9 per vleugel en op een der vleugels 1 brede naald. De muren liggen links en rechts van de poort en bestaan uit regelmatig uit elkaar geplaatste 1,5x1,5 steens brede pijlers met daar tussen halfsteens muurvlakken van verspringende strekken lagen. Nabij de poort lopen de muren over 5 lagen op en worden afgedekt door dwars plat geplaatste bakstenen.
WAARDERING
De OOSTELIJKE MOESTUINMUUR is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang
- vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde
- als voorbeeld van een bakstenen omheining van een 19de-eeuws moestuin-ensemble op een historische buitenplaats,
- vanwege de ouderdom,

Description
Description complex component 17: EASTERN KITCHEN GARDEN WALL erected in the second half of the 19th century from red Dutch-format bricks with in the centre a broad two-winged entrance gate. The gate has on both sides substantial 2.5x2.5 brick-width piers which at the ends are provided with decorative brickwork of projecting brick courses and topped by bricks with Portland stuccoed capping plates. On the capping plates are 4 arches of iron pipe placed. The gates in the entrance are of wood and hang on wrought-iron hinges and thumb pieces; applied to broad wooden crossbeams and braces are broad bars, 9 per wing and on one of the wings 1 broad bolt. The walls lie left and right of the gate and consist of regularly spaced 1.5x1.5 brick-width piers with between them half-brick wall panels of alternating stretcher courses. Near the gate the walls rise over 5 courses and are topped by bricks placed crosswise flat.
