Inleiding
Vrijstaand woonhuis gebouwd rond 1890-1900 in een eclectische stijl. Kenmerkend is dat dit pand, samen met enkele andere, teruggerooid ligt ten opzichte van het Zuideinde en daardoor beschikt over een voortuin.
Omschrijving
In hoofdvorm symmetrisch opgezet woonhuis met hardstenen plint, een bakstenen opbouw en een brede rijk bewerkte kroonlijst; het pand wordt gedekt door een schilddak met hollandse pan belegd; schoorsteen (niet oorspronkelijk); rondboogvormig dakkapel (zink) met sierlijst en pinakel. Asymmetrisch geplaatste paneeldeur met sierrooster en bovenlicht; net als de twee rechtgesloten schuiframen met segmentboogvormige fronton en vensteromlijsting. Verdieping met drie T-vensters eveneens voorzien van fantasie fronton met kuif. Zijgevels met gesloten karakter en voorzien van staafankers.

Woonhuis van architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de vormgeving, het materiaalgebruik alsmede vanwege de ligging in een karakteristieke gevelwand van het Zuideinde (onderdeel van een waardevol stadsgezicht).

In principal form symmetrically arranged dwelling house with hard stone plinth, a brick construction and a broad elaborately worked cornice; the property is covered by a hipped roof with Dutch tile; chimney (not original); semicircular roof dormer (zinc) with ornamental moulding and pinnacle. Asymmetrically placed panel door with ornamental grating and fanlight; as are the two closed sash windows with segmental arch-shaped pediment and window frame. First floor with three T-windows likewise provided with fantasy pediment with cyma. Side gables with closed character and provided with staple anchors.
Valuation
Dwelling house of architectural-historical and urban-planning significance due to the design, the use of materials as well as due to its location in a characteristic gable wall of the Zuideinde (component of a valuable urban townscape).
