Inleiding
Vrijstaand woonhuis gebouwd rond 1895 in een eclectische stijl. Het pand werd in 1947 verbouwd in opdracht van H.M. Brouwer waarbij de deur en het raam omgewisseld worden; boven het raam komt een plat met gemetselde borstwering.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis in baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door een afgeplat samengesteld schilddak belegd met tuile du nord-pannen; in de nokhoeken zijn zinken afdekstukken met leeuwekoppen geplaatst; dakkapellen in voorste dakschilden voorzien van enig snijwerk en klauwstukken. Opbouw met natuurstenen plint, gepleisterde casementen onder de vensters, speklagen met bossage op de hoeken, waterlijst aangezet met lijst van geglazuurde tegels en aan bovenzijde een brede kroonlijst met bewerkte consoles. Links een van snijwerk voorziene paneeldeur met rechtgesloten bovenlicht, daarnaast drie rechtgesloten vensters met kalf met hardstenen onderdorpel. Verdieping met links een hangend erker op bewerkte consoles; erker met hardstenen vloer en rijk bewerkt snijwerk in de houten opbouw. Daarnaast een terugspringend gevelvlak met rechtgesloten venster. Rechts een breed hardstenen balkon op bewerkte consoles; hekwerk met balusters; twee rechtgesloten vensters. Verdiepingsvensters met openslaande terrasdeuren; hardstenen latei en aanzet- en sluitstenen. De zijgevels hebben een gesloten karakter met staafankers.

Woonhuis van architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de vormgeving, het materiaalgebruik alsmede vanwege de ligging aan de belangrijke weg naar het station (onderdeel van een waardevol stadsgezicht).

Residential house built in brick and covered by a flattened composite hipped roof laid with tuile du nord tiles; in the roof ridge corners zinc trimming pieces with lion's heads are placed; roof dormers in front roof slopes provided with some carved work and claw pieces. Superstructure with natural stone plinth, rendered casements below the windows, rusticated bands with bossage on the corners, drip moulding applied with strip of glazed tiles and at the top a broad cornice with worked consoles. On the left a panelled door provided with carved work with fixed fanlight, next to it three fixed windows with blind with hardstone cill. Upper storey with on the left a suspended bay window on worked consoles; bay window with hardstone floor and richly worked carved work in the timber superstructure. Next to it a recessed facade section with fixed window. On the right a broad hardstone balcony on worked consoles; ironwork with balusters; two fixed windows. Upper storey windows with French doors; hardstone lintel and setting and closing stones. The side gables have a closed character with rod anchors.

Residential house of architectural-historical and urban-planning significance by virtue of the design, the use of materials as well as by virtue of its location on the important road to the station (part of a valued townscape).
