Inleiding
Vermoedelijk uit omstreeks 1839 daterend PAND, plaatselijk bekend als gebouw 28, onder andere gebruikt als apotheek. Omstreeks 1878 kreeg het pand een opslagfunctie voor verbandmiddelen en brandspuit. Het pand is gesitueerd aan de westzijde van het complex Rijkswerf Willemsoord, tussen gebouw 1 (object D) en gebouw 29 (object F).
N.B. De aanbouw aan de zuidzijde en de schoorsteen vallen niet onder de bescherming. In de 20ste eeuw kwam het gebouwtje in gebruik bij het stafbureau systemen.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwd pand, bestaande uit één bouwlaag onder schilddak. De noklijn staat haaks op de Weststraat. Het muurwerk is opgetrokken in rode baksteen boven een iets uitgemetselde plint. De gevels worden afgesloten door een geprofileerde houten gootlijst.
De kopse oostgevel heeft hoeklisenen en is twee vensterassen breed. De linkeras bevat een rondboogvormige deur, de rechter een houten ronboogvenster. De lekdorpel en de sluitstenen met diamantkop zijn van hardsteen. Tussen venster en deur is een klein rond stalen venster aangebracht.
De noordgevel heeft drie vensterassen die alle een houten T-venster bevatten met houten lekdorpel. De linker as bevatte in oorsprong vermoedelijk een deur.
De kopse westgevel heeft hoeklisenen en is twee vensterassen breed. De oorspronkelijke indeling is gewijzigd.
De zuidgevel is gewijzigd door een aanbouw over de hele lengte van de gevel.
Waardering
Het pand is van belang als historisch functioneel onderdeel van het complex Rijkswerf Willemsoord. Door de ligging aan de westrand van het Rijkswerfterrein heeft het gebouw, samen met de woning voor de officier van politie en de gebouwen met de nrs. 1, 29, 47, 52 en 60, beeldbepalende waarde voor het aanzien van de werf vanaf de westzijde.

Introduction
A BUILDING, presumably dating from around 1839, locally known as building 28, used among other purposes as a pharmacy. Around 1878 the building received a storage function for medical supplies and fire engines. The building is situated on the west side of the Rijkswerf Willemsoord complex, between building 1 (object D) and building 29 (object F).
N.B. The extension on the south side and the chimney do not fall under the protection. In the 20th century the small building came into use with the staff bureau systems.
Description
Building constructed on a rectangular ground plan, consisting of one storey under a hipped roof. The ridge line runs perpendicular to Weststraat. The masonry is constructed in red brick above a slightly projecting plinth. The façades are finished with a moulded wooden cornice.
The gabled east façade has corner pilasters and is two window bays wide. The left bay contains a round-arched door, the right one a wooden round-arched window. The drip moulding and the corner stones with diamond point are of hardstone. Between window and door a small round steel window has been installed.
The north façade has three window bays, all containing a wooden T-shaped window with wooden drip moulding. The left bay originally presumed to have contained a door.
The gabled west façade has corner pilasters and is two window bays wide. The original layout has been altered.
The south façade has been altered by an extension along the full length of the façade.
Valuation
The building is of importance as a historically functional component of the Rijkswerf Willemsoord complex. Due to its location on the west edge of the Royal Shipyard site, the building, together with the dwelling for the police officer and the buildings numbered 1, 29, 47, 52 and 60, has visual value in shaping the appearance of the shipyard from the west side.
