Inleiding
Stenen BRUG gelegen in de as van het hoofdgebouw van het voormalige seminarie en hoofdtoegang gevend tot het voorplein aan de westzijde. De brug is tegelijkertijd met de bouw van het seminarie tot stand gekomen en eveneens ontworpen door Jan Stuyt. De brug vormt een oeververbinding over een waterpartij die behoort tot de landschappelijke aanleg van de oude buitenplaats Het Klooster.
Omschrijving Symmetrisch opgezette brug met een rondboog over het water. De brug heeft een naar het midden toe stijgend wegdek met uitzwenkende op- en afritten. Het muurwerk bestaat uit rode baksteen, afgedekt met hardsteen en gedecoreerd met bolvormige ornamenten in zandsteen. Het wegdek, dat in de glooiing boven de boog in rode klinkers is uitgevoerd, wordt geflankeerd door borstweringen die in het midden worden gemarkeerd door hogere achthoekige pijlers met mutsvormige zandstenen bekroningen waarop koperen lantaarns zijn geplaatst.

De brug is van belang in relatie tot het hoofdgebouw van het voormalige seminarie waarmee het historisch-functioneel en in situering en architectuur onverbrekelijk is verbonden.

Stone BRIDGE located in the axis of the main building of the former seminary and providing main access to the forecourt on the west side. The bridge was constructed at the same time as the seminary and was also designed by Jan Stuyt. The bridge forms a bank connection over a water feature that belongs to the landscaped layout of the former country estate Het Klooster.
Description Symmetrically designed bridge with a round arch over the water. The bridge has a roadway that rises towards the centre with splayed approach and exit ramps. The masonry consists of red brick, topped with sandstone and decorated with spherical ornaments in sandstone. The roadway, which is finished in red clinkers in the slope above the arch, is flanked by parapets which are marked in the centre by taller octagonal piers with cap-shaped sandstone crowns on which copper lanterns are placed.
Valuation
The bridge is of significance in relation to the main building of the former seminary with which it is inextricably connected historically-functionally and in siting and architecture.
