Voormalig gemeentehuis, in 1931 in Interbellum-architectuur gebouwd, uitgevoerd door aannemer M. Walraven.
Omschrijving
Pand op vrijwel rechthoekige plattegrond; risalerende middenpartij van twee verdiepingen hoog met dwars schilddak en lagere schilddaken op één verdieping hoge zijvleugels. Roodbruine baksteen.
Voorgevel met drie traveeën breed hoger opgaand middendeel en zijvleugels met ieder drie vensters. Middendeel met dubbele houten deur met glas-in-lood bovenlichten, aan weerszijden een venster. Vensters: houten kozijnen met schuiframen, roedeverdeling of glas-in-lood bovenlichten; houten luiken bij onderramen. Op de verdieping van het middendeel dezelfde vensters; centraal een topgevel met gemeentewapen. Dakkapellen op zijvleugels. Overhangende daklijsten, daken gedekt met rode hollandse pannen.
Dakruiter (vernieuwd) op nok. Zijgevels met onder meer diverse vensters en zij-ingangen. Achtergevel met onder meer op verdieping van middendeel hoge smalle vensters met gekleurd glas-in-lood ter hoogte van trappenhuis.
In interieur onder meer entree met glas-in-lood in tochtpui en klapdeuren, het trappenhuis en de voormalige raadskamer op de eerste verdieping met onder meer schouw en lambrizering van belang.
Waardering
Voormalig gemeentehuis, van cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang en van belang als hoofdonderdeel van het complex.

Description
Building on virtually rectangular floor plan; projecting central section of two storeys high with transverse hipped roof and lower hipped roofs on one-storey high side wings. Reddish-brown brickwork.
Front facade with three bays wide higher-rising centre section and side wings with each three windows. Centre section with double wooden door with leaded glass fanlights, on either side a window. Windows: wooden frames with sash windows, glazing bars or leaded glass fanlights; wooden shutters at lower sashes. On the storey of the centre section the same windows; centrally a gabled top with municipal coat of arms. Roof dormers on side wings. Overhanging eaves, roofs covered with red Dutch tiles.
Roof turret (renewed) on ridge. Side facades with amongst others various windows and side entrances. Rear facade with amongst others on the storey of centre section tall narrow windows with coloured leaded glass at the height of the staircase.
In interior amongst others entrance with leaded glass in draught porch and double doors, the staircase and the former council chamber on the first storey with amongst others fireplace and wainscoting of importance.
Valuation
Former town hall, of cultural-historical and architectural-historical importance and of importance as the main component of the complex.
