Inleiding
Fors herenhuis op hoek Loskade en Nieuwe Poortstraat, in 1879 gebouwd in opdracht van A.A. Fokker.
Het was het eerste pand dat in deze gevelrij werd gebouwd en heeft er ruim 10 jaar als eenling gestaan. In neo-classicistische stijl gebouwd. Nieuwe, één verdieping hoge aanbouw aan achterzijde komt niet voor bescherming in aanmerking. Begane grond tegenwoordig als winkel in gebruik.
Omschrijving
Hoekpand van drie verdiepingen met kap; afgeronde hoekpartij met geblokte pilaster en afgeronde kroonlijst. Gevels opgetrokken uit roodbruine baksteen; natuurstenen pilasters en plint.
Gevel aan Loskade is vier venstertraveeën breed met in tweede travee van links ingang met houten, optisch gedeelde paneeldeur. Overige traveeën houten vensters. Op verdieping fors, houten balkon op drie consoles bij middelste twee traveeën; twee zij-traveeën met houten T-vensters. Op derde verdieping vier lage, vrijwel vierkante vensters. Daarboven kroonlijst met verdiepte velden in het fries en consoles.
Oostgevel met dezelfde opbouw als gevel aan Loskade, maar zonder balkon en zonder ingang. Sobere achtergevel met nieuwe aanbouw. Kap bestaat uit twee achter elkaar geplaatste schilddaken met de nok evenwijdig aan de Loskade, gedekt met gesmoorde hollandse pannen.
In het interieur zijn geen monumentale waarden aanwezig.
Waardering
Hoekpand waarvan exterieur van cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch belang. Van belang vanwege ensemblewaarden en als afsluiting van kanaalfrontbebouwing.

Description
Corner building of three storeys with roof; rounded corner section with fluted pilaster and rounded cornice. Facades built of reddish-brown brick; natural stone pilasters and plinth.
Facade on Loskade is four window bays wide with entrance in the second bay from the left featuring wooden, optically divided panel door. Remaining bays with wooden windows. On the upper storey substantial wooden balcony on three consoles at the middle two bays; two side bays with wooden T-windows. On the third storey four low, almost square windows. Above this cornice with recessed fields in the frieze and consoles.
East facade with the same arrangement as the facade on Loskade, but without balcony and without entrance. Sober rear facade with new extension. Roof consists of two hipped roofs placed one behind the other with the ridge parallel to the Loskade, covered with Dutch tiles in the covered manner.
The interior contains no monumental values.
Valuation
