Inleiding
Twee uitwateringsduikers en vier watertoevoerbuizen, onderdeel van het stoomgemaal Schieland. De gewelven bevinden zich onder het terrein waarop het Stoomgemaalcomplex Schieland is gebouwd. De gewelven zijn toegankelijk via een opening afgedekt door een luchtrooster in het onbebouwde, verharde binnenterrein aan de zijde van de Admiraliteitskade. Het noord-zuid georiënteerde gewelf is een deel van de uitwateringssluis uit 1741-42. De zuigbuizen van de pompen van het gemaal Schieland kwamen uit op de in 1898 nieuw aangelegde duiker, dit is het oost-west georiënteerde gewelf, die op de oudere uitwateringsduiker van de sluis was aangesloten.
Omschrijving
Ondergrondse in baksteen gemetselde segmentboogvormige gewelven met vloer van twee uitwateringsduikers met afmetingen van ca. 5.75 m. breed en een hoogte van ca. 5.10 m. op houten paalfundering. Het lange noord-zuid georiënteerde gewelf, daterend uit 1741-42, bevindt zich onder de voormalige kolenbergplaats en onder het onbebouwde, verharde terrein; het iets smallere en kortere gewelf uit 1898 begint deels onder het onbebouwde, verharde terrein en deels onder de voormalige kolenbergplaats en loopt uit tot onder het ketelhuis. De vier waterafvoerbuizen staan loodrecht op het oost-west georiënteerde gewelf en komen uit onder de voormalige machinekamer.

Two outlet sluices and four water inlet pipes, part of the Schieland steam pumping station. The vaults are located under the terrain on which the Schieland Steam Pumping Station complex is built. The vaults are accessible via an opening covered by an air grille in the unbuilt, hardened inner terrain on the side of Admiraliteitskade. The north-south oriented vault is part of the outlet lock dating from 1741-42. The suction pipes of the pumps of the Schieland pumping station opened onto the outlet sluice newly constructed in 1898, this is the east-west oriented vault, which connected to the older outlet sluice vault of the lock.
Description
Underground segmental arch vaults built in brick with floor of two outlet sluices with dimensions of approx. 5.75 m. wide and a height of approx. 5.10 m. on wooden pile foundation.
