Inleiding
Op binnenterrein in de noordwestelijke hoek gelegen voormalige KOLENBERGPLAATS (later in gebruik genomen als garage en loods), daterend uit 1898 naar ontwerp van A. Nolen, onderdeel van het stoomgemaalcomplex Schieland.
Omschrijving
Voormalige kolenbergplaats van één bouwlaag onder een met pannen gedekt zadeldak, opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond in dezelfde eclectische trant als het stoomgemaal (gemetselde lisenen, waterdorpels sluitstenen en lateien van natuursteen en in de zijgevel kantelen). Tussen de lisenen van het middelste geveldeel een rechthoekige garagedeur met dubbele deuren, tussen de lisenen van het linker geveldeel een oorspronkelijke entree bestaande uit houten toegangsdeur en licht getoogd bovenlicht met roedenverdeling; tussen de lisenen van het rechter geveldeel een licht getoogd venster met roedenverdeling. Zijgevels met ezelsruggen.

Located on an internal courtyard in the north-western corner former COAL STORAGE PLACE (later used as a garage and shed), dating from 1898 designed by A. Nolen, part of the Schieland steam pumping station complex.
Description
Former coal storage place of one storey under a pantile-covered gabled roof, erected on a rectangular floor plan in the same eclectic manner as the pumping station (mortared pilasters, water sills voussoirs and lintels of natural stone and crenellations in the side gable). Between the pilasters of the central gable section a rectangular garage door with double doors, between the pilasters of the left gable section an original entrance consisting of wooden door and lightly arched fanlight with glazing bar division; between the pilasters of the right gable section a lightly arched window with glazing bar division. Side gables with stepped-gable stones.
Valuation
Former coal storage place from 1898 of general importance for its cultural and architectural historical values as a historical-functional component of Schieland steam pumping station.
