Inleiding
De boerderij met schuur ligt ten westen van Culemborg onder de dijk aan de Lek en bevindt zich in het schootsveld van fort Everdingen. Om die reden is het object niet versteend.
Beschrijving
Houten boerderij van twee bouwlagen op nagenoeg vierkante plattegrond. De boerderij is van een ongewoon type en lijkt nog het meest op een stolpboerderij. In de huidige situatie bestaan de gevels uit brede houten delen in potdekselwerk boven een bakstenen, gepleisterde plint. Aan de voorhuiszijde zijn de gevels aan de binnenzijde voorzien van een in rode baksteen opgetrokken muur die aan de binnenzijde is gepleisterd. De boerderij heeft een soort tentdak met aan de zij- en achterkant tot de hoogte van een bouwlaag doorlopende dakschilden. Aan de voorzijde heeft het dak een wolfeind. Het dak is met riet gedekt; ter plaatse van de langsdakschilden, aan de onderrand twee rijen rode hollandse pannen. Op de nok en in het rechterdakvlak een gemetselde schoorsteen. De voorgevel heeft twee bouwlagen en een symmetrische indeling. Centraal een terugliggend, gesloten deel met een klein venster en kelderraam met diefijzers. Links en rechts daarvan twee maal drie schuifvensters. Op de verdieping drie schuifvensters. Alle vensters zijn uitgevoerd in hout en recht afgesloten. In de zij- en achtergevels diverse raam- en deuropeningen, met moderne kozijnen. Het interieur heeft nog de oorspronkelijke indeling met een woonhuis en een bedrijfsgedeelte. De delen worden gescheiden door brandwerende stenen muren. Gebintconstructie, balklagen en vloeren zijn nog aanwezig.
Schuur Aan de achterzijde, in het verlengde van de boerderij ligt een houten schuur uit 1937 met gepotdekselde gevels. Een bouwlaag onder zadeldak met hollandse pannen gedekt, langs een zijde een windveer. In de van oorsprong symmetrische voorgevel vier deuren in hout, en twee drie-ruits ramen. In de topgevel twee drieruits ramen. De lage zijgevels zijn blinde gevels.
Waardering
De architectuur- en cultuur-historische waarde van de boerderij met schuur is groot. Het is een zeldzaam voorbeeld van een houten boerderij, die qua exterieur en indeling nog gaaf is bewaard. Wooden farmhouse of two storeys on an almost square ground plan. The farmhouse is of an unusual type and most resembles a thatched round farmhouse. In the current situation the facades consist of broad wooden parts in potdekselwerk above a brick, plastered plinth. On the front house side the facades are provided on the inside with a wall built in red brick that is plastered on the inside. The farmhouse has a kind of tent roof with roof boards extending on the side and rear to the height of one storey. On the front the roof has a half-hipped end. The roof is thatched; at the location of the longitudinal roof boards, two rows of red Dutch tiles on the lower edge. A brick chimney on the ridge and in the right roof plane. The front facade has two storeys and a symmetrical layout. Centrally a recessed, closed section with a small window and basement window with theft bars.
