VIER HEKPIJLERS. De entree van beide overparken wordt gemarkeerd door twee lage hekpijlers uit de jaren dertig van deze eeuw, toen Vreugd en Rust door de gemeente als openbaar park werd bekend. De lage samengestelde postamenten van baksteen met uitkragende bovenranden zijn gebouwd in de stijl van de Nieuwe Haagse School.

FOUR GATE PIERS. The entrance to both outparks is marked by two low gate piers from the nineteen-thirties of this century, when Vreugd en Rust became known by the municipality as a public park. The low combined brick postaments with projecting top edges were built in the style of the New Hague School.
