Inleiding
Voormalig POSTKANTOOR, in opdracht van de gemeente Borne gebouwd in 1884 in neo-Renaissancestijl, thans in gebruik als makelaarskantoor. De oorspron- kelijke ingang is aan het begin van deze eeuw verplaatst naar de aan de noordwestzijde van het pand toegevoegde aanbouw.
Omschrijving
Rechthoekig pand, opgetrokken over twee bouwlagen in rode machinale baksteen met witgepleisterde sierbanden, een waterlijst tussen beide verdiepingen en een brede kroonlijst als gevelbeëindiging. Het afgeknotte schilddak is met grijze Hollandse pannen gedekt en heeft aan de voorzijde een dubbele dakkapel met vleugelstukken.
De zesruits vensters hebben hanekammen met gepleisterde sierstenen en versierde sluitstenen. De voorgevel (ZW) heeft vijf vensters op de begane grond en op de verdieping.
Noordwestelijk van het pand een één bouwlaag tellende aanbouw onder een plat dak.
Hierin bevindt zich de entree die bestaat uit een dubbele rechtgesloten deur en bovenlicht met een diagonale roedeverdeling en een venster. De zijgevel van deze uitbouw heeft een tweede entree en drie vensters. De zijgevel (ZO) heeft een deur, drie vensters op de parterre en twee op de verdieping. In de achtergevel een deur en een roosvenster op de verdieping.

Voormalig postkantoor van cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang:

Former POST OFFICE, built in 1884 on commission of the municipality of Borne in neo-Renaissance style, now in use as a real estate office. The original entrance was relocated to an outbuilding added to the northwest side of the building at the beginning of this century.
Description
Rectangular building, constructed over two storeys in red machine-made brick with white-plastered decorative bands, a drip moulding between both floors and a broad cornice as facade termination. The truncated hipped roof is covered with grey Dutch tiles and has on the front a double roof dormer with wingpieces.
The six-pane windows have cockcombs with plastered decorative stones and decorated voussoirs. The front facade (SW) has five windows on the ground floor and on the upper floor.
Northwest of the building a one-storey outbuilding under a flat roof.
Herein is located the entrance which consists of a double closed door and fanlight with a diagonal glazing bar pattern and a window. The side facade of this extension has a second entrance and three windows. The side facade (SE) has a door, three windows on the ground floor and two on the upper floor. In the rear facade a door and a rosette window on the upper floor.
