Inleiding
Veerdam met steiger in L-vorm behorend bij het voormalig voetveer op Veere. Recht tegenover de stad Veere gelegen en daarmee ook een duidelijke visuele relatie bezittend. In 1926 werd de reeds lang bestaande veerdam verhoogd en voorzien van een houten steiger. In 1929 vonden aanpassingen en vernieuwingen aan de steiger plaats. Het veer was in dienst tot 1961.
Omschrijving
De smalle veerdam is nog gedeeltelijk voorzien van een basaltglooiïng. Vanaf de veerdam loopt een houten steiger recht het water in. Haaks op de kop van dit gedeelte is de eigenlijke aanlegsteiger gebouwd in getrapt aflopende vorm waardoor het aanleggen en de toegankelijkheid van de veerboot bij diverse waterstanden werd vereenvoudigd. De steiger is opgebouwd uit houten jukken waarop het loopdek met tweezijdige balustrade is aangebracht.
Waardering
Veerdam met steiger van belang vanwege cultuurhistorische waarde; van ensemblewaarde vanwege de historisch-functionele en visuele relatie met de stad Veere en van belang uit het oogpunt van de geschiedenis van de infrastructuur.

Introduction
Ferry dam with L-shaped jetty belonging to the former foot ferry at Veere. Situated directly opposite the town of Veere and thus also possessing a clear visual relationship. In 1926 the long-existing ferry dam was raised and provided with a wooden jetty. In 1929 adaptations and renewals to the jetty took place. The ferry was in service until 1961.
Description
The narrow ferry dam is still partly provided with a basalt slope. From the ferry dam a wooden jetty runs straight into the water. At right angles to the head of this section the actual landing jetty is built in stepped descending form whereby landing and accessibility of the ferry at various water levels was simplified. The jetty is built up from wooden yokes on which the deck with two-sided balustrade is mounted.

Ferry dam with jetty of importance due to cultural-historical value; of ensemble value due to the historical-functional and visual relationship with the town of Veere and of importance from the point of view of the history of infrastructure.
