Omschrijving
Campveerse toren (eertijds stadsherberg). Halfronde, op de walmuur uitgebouwde toren van baksteen met lagen natuursteen, gerestaureerd in 1950, waarbij de hoge bedaking en de top van de met pinakels versierde trapgevel weer zijn aangebracht. Inwendig: een kelder met koepelgewelf en verdieping met zware moerbinten en kinderbalkjes op geprofileerde balkneuten. Aan de oostzijde een langgerekte vleugel van de stadsherberg, in 1738 aangebouwd op een gedeelte van de oude stadsmuur en aan de zeezijde opgebouwd uit lagen baksteen, afgewisseld met lagen natuursteen, terwijl een overbouw uitkraagt op gemetselde rondboogfries.

Description
Campveerse Tower (formerly city inn). Semi-circular tower of brick built out on the rampart with courses of natural stone, restored in 1950, at which time the high roof covering and the top of the stepped gable decorated with pinnacles were reinstated. Interior: a cellar with barrel vault and storey with heavy joists and small beams on profiled beam corbels. On the east side a long wing of the city inn, built in 1738 on part of the old city wall and on the waterside built up of alternating courses of brick and natural stone, while an upper storey projects out on a built rounded arch frieze.
