Omschrijving onderdeel 44:
BOUWFRAGMENTEN ROTSTUIN.
Oude zandstenen bouwonderdelen van het kasteel werden hergebruikt in de rotstuin. Ter markering van een doorgang twee driehoekige tuinsieraden (pinakels) met een knopvormige bekroning van zandsteen. Een natuurstenen zuil met Ionisch kapiteel. In zeer slechte staat verkerende vaas van natuursteen. Een hardstenen trap van drie treden leidt naar de vijver grenzend aan de rotstuin geflankeerd door twee vaasvormige ornamentstukken; als ensemble samengesteld bestaande uit 18de- en 19de-eeuwse bouwfragmenten.

BUILDING FRAGMENTS ROCK GARDEN.
Old sandstone building components from the castle were reused in the rock garden. Marking a passageway are two triangular garden ornaments (pinnacles) with a bud-shaped crown of sandstone. A natural stone column with Ionic capital. A vase of natural stone in very poor condition. A hard stone staircase of three steps leads to the pond bordering the rock garden flanked by two vase-shaped ornament pieces; as an ensemble composed of 18th- and 19th-century building fragments.
Valuation:
BUILDING FRAGMENTS ROCK GARDEN of general importance - because of their age; - as a typical early 20th-century example of the reuse of building fragments for the decoration of the garden layout; - because of their ensemble value in connection with the layout.
