Omschrijving onderdeel 6:
OPHAALBRUG MET HEK OVER BUITENGRACHT behorende tot de buitenplaats Twickel. Op de as van de aanleg een pseudo-middeleeuwse ophaalbrug uit 1926 die de verbinding vormt tussen de voorplaats en het voorplein. De ophaalbrug heeft een houten opbouw en een houten loopplank gedragen door jukken en gemetselde keermuren met natuurstenen hoekblokken aan de voorplaatszijde. Een ijzeren spijlenhek sluit toegang tussen het voorplein en de voorplaats af. Aan beide kanten aan de uiteinden van het plankier staan smeedijzeren hekpijlers met schakelkettingen aan elkaar verbonden.

Description of component 6:
DRAWBRIDGE WITH GATE OVER OUTER MOAT belonging to the country estate Twickel. On the axis of the layout a pseudo-medieval drawbridge from 1926 which forms the connection between the forecourt and the forecourt area. The drawbridge has a wooden superstructure and a wooden walkway carried by yokes and brick retaining walls with natural stone corner blocks on the forecourt side. An iron picket gate closes off access between the forecourt area and the forecourt. At both ends of the planking stand wrought-iron gate posts connected to each other with chain links.
