Inleiding
Voetgangersbrug behorend bij landhuis Overcinge en vermoedelijk in aanleg gebouwd tussen 1905-1910 in opdracht van Johannes Linthorst Homan (nakomeling van een bekende Drentse familie en van 1904-1917 commissaris der Koningin van Drenthe). De voetgangersbrug vormt een verbinding tussen de tuin en de openbare weg.
Omschrijving
Houten VOETGANGERSBRUG aangelegd als ophaalbrug. Bruggehoofd met hekwerk en hameipoort bestaande uit geschoorde stijlen en geprofileerde dekbalk met in het midden een enkelvoudige priem waaraan de val hangt. De val is onder een hoek geplaatst naar het andere landhoofd.

VOETGANGERSBRUG van cultuurhistorisch, architectuurhistorisch en stedenbouwkundig belang als essentieel onderdeel van het complex Overcinge.

Wooden FOOTBRIDGE constructed as a drawbridge. Bridge abutment with railings and hameipoort consisting of braced posts and a profiled deck beam with a single awl in the centre from which the flap is suspended. The flap is positioned at an angle towards the other land abutment.
