Inleiding
Schuur gebouwd rond 1880 in een aan de Waterstaatsstijl verwante architectuur en behorend bij de Opzichterswoning van rijkswaterstaat. De schuur staat achter op het terrein vlak naast de sluiswachterswoning. De uitbouw aan de noordgevel is van ondergeschikt belang.
Omschrijving
In baksteen opgetrokken schuur gedekt door een zadeldak met zwarte hollandse pannen; geschulpte windveren en gietijzeren goot. Topgevel met asymmetrisch geplaatste rechtgesloten schuurdeur; rechts een getoogd zesruits venster onder hanekam. Topgevel met gietijzeren roosvenster. Noordelijk zijgevel met rechtgesloten en gekoppeld zesruits venster; daarnaast een jongere uitbouw. De westelijke topgevel met twee openslaande vensters met roedeverdeling. Scheef onder de linker venster alsmede in de top een dichtgemetseld rondvenster.

The barn stands at the back of the site immediately next to the lock-keeper's house. The extension on the north facade is of subordinate significance.

Barn constructed in brick, covered by a gabled roof with black Dutch tiles; fluted barge boards and cast-iron gutter. Gable with asymmetrically placed straight-sided barn door; on the right an arched six-pane window under corbel. Gable with cast-iron grille window. Northern side facade with straight-sided and coupled six-pane window; next to it a more recent extension. The western gable with two casement windows with glazing bars. Obliquely below the left window as well as in the top a blocked circular window.

Barn of cultural-historical, architectural-historical and urban-development significance as an essential component of the complex.
