Inleiding
Slijterij in 1912 gebouwd naar ontwerp van architect J. Carmiggelt in opdracht van Albert Dikkers, in een door de Art Nouveau beïvloedde bouwstijl. Het pand ligt met de voorgevel direkt aan de straat; aan de achterzijde een diepe tuin. Het pand is onderdeel van de karakteristieke eind 19e en vroeg 20e eeuwse lintbebouwing aan de voormalige Hoogeveensche vaart in het centrum van Hoogeveen.
De bescherming richt zich op de hoofdvorm en met name de vormgeving en detaillering van de voorgevel.
Omschrijving
Pand van één bouwlaag opgetrokken vanuit een langgerekte rechthoekige plattegrond onder schilddak met op het voorste dakvlak bouletpannen en een piron.
Voorgevel (O) met plint en hoog opgemetselde hoekpartijen -noordelijke oorspronkelijk met decoratieve beeïndiging- in groen geglazuurde steen. De uitkragende plint wordt beeïndigd met een hardstenen waterlijst. Overig metselwerk in de voorgevel is uitgevoerd in witte verblendsteen. Tussen de hoekpartijen een grote winkelpui met zeslichts vensterstrook met gesneden deelstijlen en hardstenen lekdorpel, een deur met meerruitsvenster en dubbel bovenlicht als bij de etalage; hierboven een hardstenen latei over de gehele gevel. Op de zolderverdieping een topgeveltje onder steekkap met een, uit het gevelvlak springend, drielichts venster op consoles, met kleine roedenverdeling. De geveltop wordt geflankeerd door twee tegeltableaus; links met opschrift: 'Advocaatfabriek Het Drentsche ei', en voorstelling van moeder en kind, rechts met opschrift: 'Wijn - likeur - gedestilleerd' en een wapen.
De overige in baksteen opgetrokken gevels met staafankers, zesruitsvensters met drieruits bovenlichten en kleine drieruits vensters. In de linkergevel (Z) bovendien een dubbele deur onder vierruits bovenlicht.
INTERIEUR
Oorspronkelijke indeling met balkenplafonds, deuren, scheidingswand en vaste kast in het winkelgedeelte.
Waardering
Slijterij van cultuur-, en architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de typologie en funktie, de hoge mate van gaafheid en bijzondere detaillering van de voorgevel. In relatie met omringende lintbebouwing van stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de ligging in het bijzondere gebied langs de Voormalige Hoogeveensche vaart.

Liquor store built in 1912 after a design by architect J. Carmiggelt on behalf of Albert Dikkers, in an Art Nouveau-influenced building style. Description
Building of one storey erected from an elongated rectangular floor plan under a hipped roof with boulet tiles on the front roof slope and a roof ornament.
Front facade (E) with plinth and high masonry corner sections -the northern one originally with decorative finish- in green glazed brick. The projecting plinth is finished with a hardstone drip moulding. Other brickwork in the front facade is executed in white facing brick. Between the corner sections a large shop front with six-light window strip with cut glazing bars and hardstone sill, a door with multi-pane window and double fanlight as with the display window; above this a hardstone lintel across the entire facade. On the attic storey a small gable under a steep roof with a three-light window projecting from the facade plane on consoles, with small glazing bars. The gable top is flanked by two tile tableaux; on the left with inscription: 'Advocaatfabriek Het Drentsche ei', and representation of mother and child, on the right with inscription: 'Wine - liqueur - distilled' and a coat of arms.
The other facades built in brick with rod anchors, six-pane windows with three-pane fanlights and small three-pane windows. In the left facade (S) furthermore a double door under four-pane fanlight.
INTERIOR
Original layout with beam ceilings, doors, partition wall and fixed cupboard in the shop section.
