Inleiding
In Traditionalisme in 1933 in opdracht van de familie Schijns naar een ontwerp van architect Stephan Dings uit Beek gebouwde VILLA genaamd "Biejebosj". De villa is fraai gesitueerd in een parkachtige tuin met een waterpartij en boomgroepen.
Omschrijving:
De villa heeft een in lengterichting geplaatste rechthoekige plattegrond, telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met deels licht gebogen schilddaken met rode leien. Drie dakkapellen met breed overstek. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen in twee soorten. Rechthoekige houten vensters en deuren.
Asymmetrische indeling frontgevel. In rechterdeel frontgevel de terugliggende ingangspartij met erboven een balkon met baksteen balustrade. Aan de rechterzijde van de deur een glas-in-lood venster. In het middendeel frontgevel in de eerste bouwlaag een erker met plat dak.
In linkerdeel frontgevel een diepliggend terras, verbonden met houten pergola rustend op twee bakstenen kolommen. Decoratief metselwerk bij de ingangspartij en het terras. In de rechterzijgevel een groot glas-in-lood venster. Vensters en deuren in de achtergevel deels van recentere datum.
Van het INTERIEUR is van belang: in de hal klein glas-in-lood paneel van atelier Winkelman te Amsterdam; op overloop trap in rechterzijgevel groot glas-in-lood venster eveneens van atelier Winkelman te Amsterdam voorstellende diverse ambachten waarin familie Schijns werkzaam was o.a. het molenaarsbedrijf, vervoer en handel. Voor het overige bevat het interieur geen beschermde onderdelen.
Bijbouw van een garage in een bouwlaag met plat dak, en met authentieke houten deuren.
Waardering:
De villa "Biejebosj" bezit architectuurhistorische waarden wegens de esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp en als voorbeeld van het oeuvre van architect Stephan Dings. Ensemblewaarde ontleent de villa aan de situering in een parkachtige tuin. De villa is van bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van dit deel van Valkenburg aan de Geul. De villa is tenslotte van algemeen belang op grond van de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur.

Three roof dormers with broad overhang. The building materials used are brick in two types. Rectangular wooden windows and doors.
Asymmetrical arrangement of the front facade. In the right part of the front facade the recessed entrance section with above it a balcony with brick balustrade. To the right of the door a stained glass window. In the middle part of the front facade in the first storey a bay with flat roof.
In the left part of the front facade a recessed terrace, connected with a wooden pergola resting on two brick columns. Decorative brickwork at the entrance section and the terrace. In the right side facade a large stained glass window. Windows and doors in the rear facade partly of more recent date.
Of the INTERIOR the following are of importance: in the hall a small stained glass panel from the atelier Winkelman in Amsterdam; on the landing of the staircase in the right side facade a large stained glass window also from the atelier Winkelman in Amsterdam depicting various trades in which the Schijns family was engaged, including the milling business, transport and commerce. For the rest the interior contains no protected components.
