SOKKEL MET ZONNEWIJZER.
Laat-18de-eeuwse sokkel in Bentheimer zandsteen op bijna ronde grondslag in Lodewijk XV-stijl, staande op het halfronde grasveld aan de voorzijde van het huis Queekhoven. De balusterachtige sokkel is op de 'hoeken' gedecoreerd met rocaille-achtige elementen en is voorzien van voluten en acanthusbladeren. Op de sokkel een voor Nederland zeldzame 18de-eeuwse zonnewijzer, type Haarlem, van beschilderd en verguld smeedijzer. In 1995 is de zonnewijzer gerestaureerd.

Description
SOCLE WITH SUNDIAL.
Late-18th-century socle in Bentheim sandstone on an almost circular base in Louis XV style, standing on the semicircular lawn in front of the house Queekhoven. The baluster-like socle is on the 'corners' decorated with rocaille-like elements and is provided with volutes and acanthus leaves. On the socle a rare 18th-century sundial for the Netherlands, Haarlem type, of painted and gilded wrought iron. In 1995 the sundial was restored.
