DAM MET PIJLERS EN TOEGANGSHEK.
Bakstenen dam met twee rechte keermuren waarop twee 18de-eeuwse pijlers en een toegangshek op de oostelijke overgang van moestuin naar heemtuin. De twee pijlers aan de moestuinzijde maken onderdeel uit van de meandermuur. Sinds de muur aan de oostzijde gedeeltelijk is verdwenen, staat de noordelijke pijler los. De bakstenen pijlers op voet op vierkante grondslag worden afgedekt door een hardstenen dekplaat waarop een hardstenen vaas op voetstuk in Lodewijk XIV-stijl. De buik van de vazen is voorzien van krullen en het deksel van schubben. Het losstaande smeedijzeren toegangshek aan heemtuinzijde heeft aan weerszijden op een cilindervormig voetstuk een slanke getordeerde stijl met pluimachtige bekroning, waartussen twee draaibare vleugels. De smeedijzeren vleugels bestaan onderaan uit bij elkaar gehaald bandwerk, in elkaar gedraaid tot spijlen die bovenaan weer loskomen en bekroond worden door getorste spitsen.

Description
DAM WITH PILLARS AND ACCESS GATE.
Brick dam with two straight retaining walls on which are two 18th-century pillars and an access gate on the eastern passage from kitchen garden to pleasure garden. The two pillars on the kitchen garden side form part of the meandering wall. Since the wall on the east side has partly disappeared, the northern pillar stands alone. The brick pillars on a base on a square plan are topped by a hardstone coping on which a hardstone urn on a pedestal in Louis XIV style. The belly of the urns is provided with scrolls and the lid with scales. The detached wrought iron access gate on the pleasure garden side has on either side on a cylindrical base a slender twisted upright with plume-like crown, between which two movable wings. The wrought iron wings consist at the bottom of gathered banding, twisted into spokes which come apart again at the top and are crowned by twisted points.
