TOEGANGSHEK VOOR HUIS WELGELEGEN.
19de-Eeuwse smeedijzeren toegangshek, gemaakt in Zweden, staande op naar buiten uitzwenkende bakstenen keermuren aan de weg ten zuiden van huis Welgelegen. Het hekwerk bestaat uit twee uit spijlen opgebouwde staanders waarin de woorden 'WELGE' en 'LEGEN' zijn verwerkt. Tussen de staanders twee draaibare vleugels bestaande uit regels en spijlen, bekroond door siersmeedwerk. Aan weerszijden van de staanders is een vleugelstuk bevestigd.
TOEGANGSHEK van algemeen cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de ouderdom, het karakteristieke materiaalgebruik, de ensemblewaarde en de functioneel-ruimtelijke relatie met de overige onderdelen van het complex.

Description
ENTRANCE GATE FOR HUIS WELGELEGEN.
19th-century wrought-iron entrance gate, made in Sweden, standing on brick wing walls angled outward at the road to the south of Huis Welgelegen. The gate consists of two uprights built up from balusters in which the words 'WELGE' and 'LEGEN' are incorporated. Between the uprights two hinged wings consisting of rails and balusters, crowned by ornamental wrought-iron work. On either side of the uprights a wing section is attached.
ENTRANCE GATE of general cultural and architectural-historical importance because of its age, characteristic use of materials, ensemble value and the functional-spatial relationship with the other components of the complex.
