Omschrijving
FRUITMUUR.
Vermoedelijk midden-19de-eeuwse fruitmuur, opgetrokken uit rode handvormsteen in staand verband, voorheen een deel van de moestuin omsluitend. De muur heeft aan de noordzijde een recht verloop, aan de oostzijde heeft de muur een hoek en een rond verloop. Het ronde muurgedeelte is getrapt opgetrokken en is aan beide zijden voorzien van in kruisverband gemetselde steunberen. Vermoedelijk heeft tegen het meest westelijke muurdeel een verwarmingselement gestaan dat de muur gedeeltelijk verwarmde.

Description
FRUIT WALL.
Presumably mid-19th-century fruit wall, constructed of red hand-moulded brick in stretcher bond, formerly enclosing part of the vegetable garden. The wall has a straight course on the north side, on the east side the wall has a corner and a curved course. The curved wall section is constructed in steps and is provided on both sides with buttresses laid in cross-bond. Presumably a heating element stood against the most westerly wall section which partially heated the wall.
FRUIT WALL of general cultural and architectural-historical importance because of its age, characteristic use of materials, purposeful design, ensemble value and the functional-spatial relationship with the other components of the complex.
