Inleiding
Ten noordoosten van de kerk bevindt zich een WATERPUT. Via een goot van het kerkgebouw werd regenwater vanaf het kerkdak in de put opgevangen.
Omschrijving
De waterput is opgebouwd uit baksteen, voorzien van een hardstenen afdekplaat met geperforeerde ijzeren deksel. Aan de noordzijde bevindt zich een gietijzeren pomp; aan de westzijde een ingemetseld kruis van witte geglazuurde steen.
Waardering
De waterput is van belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het Vermaning-complex. Tevens heeft de waterput cultuurhistorische en architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de voormalige functie ten behoeve van de gemeentelijke watervoorziening, en vanwege de gaafheid en zeldzaamheid van het bouwtype.

The well is constructed of brick, provided with a hardstone cover plate with a perforated iron lid. On the north side there is a cast-iron pump; on the west side an embedded cross of white glazed stone.
Valuation
The well is important as a historical-functional component of the Vermaning complex. The well also has cultural-historical and architectural-historical value because of its former function for municipal water supply, and because of the integrity and rarity of the building type.
