De BOTANISCHE TUIN, deel uitmakend van het complex Libanon Lyceum, 5500 m2 groot, met een L-vormig grondplan, gelegen tussen de Kralingse Plaslaan en de Cederstraat. Hier bevindt zich een monumentaal smeedijzeren toegangshek tussen stenen pijlers.
De tuin-aanleg is geometrisch van opzet, gedeeltelijk onderbroken door een gebogen pad. In het midden van de as van het diepe tuindeel een halfronde vijver. De tuin wordt aan de noordzijde begrensd door een rechthoekige kruidentuin. Voorts bevat de tuin een kleine broeikas en een houten zadenhuisje.
De botanische collectie bestaat uit ruim 1200 soorten planten, heesters en bomen die voornamelijk tot de gematigde klimaatzone behoren.

The BOTANICAL GARDEN, forming part of the Libanon Lyceum complex, 5500 m2 in area, with an L-shaped floor plan, situated between Kralingse Plaslaan and Cederstraat. Here there is a monumental wrought-iron entrance gate between stone piers.
The garden layout is geometric in design, partially interrupted by a curved path. In the centre of the axis of the deep garden section a semicircular pond. The garden is bounded on the north side by a rectangular herb garden. Furthermore the garden contains a small greenhouse and a wooden seed house.
The botanical collection consists of over 1200 species of plants, shrubs and trees which belong principally to the temperate climate zone.

Garden layout with geometric path system, water feature and planting of garden-architectural-historical significance, as well as significance as an original functional component of the Libanon Lyceum complex.
