Inleiding:
BRUG over de Boezem, verbinding tussen de Goudse Rijweg en Vlietlaan, gebouwd in 1903 naar ontwerp van S.J. Rutgers in Jugendstil-trant.
Omschrijving:
De vaste brug is 18 meter breed en heeft een doorstroomprofiel van 26 meter, verdeeld over vier openingen. De overspanning is van gewapend beton, rustend op vijf natuurstenen brugpijlers aan weerszijden, door middel van consoles verbonden met de hekpijlers van de omgaande balustrade. De pijlers en balustrade van smeedijzer daartussen zijn voorzien van Jugendstil-ornamentiek.
Waardering:
Brug over de Boezem van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en bouwhistorische waarde, met name door de toegepaste Jugendstilvormen en het innovatieve gebruik van beton.

The fixed bridge is 18 metres wide and has a flow profile of 26 metres, divided over four openings. The span is of reinforced concrete, resting on five natural stone bridge piers on either side, connected by means of consoles with the gate piers of the surrounding balustrade. The piers and balustrade of wrought iron between them are furnished with Art Nouveau ornamentation.
