Inleiding:
Het POMPGEBOUW annex VUILVISHUISJE gebouwd in 1890-91 in Chaletstijl naar ontwerp van W.A. Scholten en G.J de Jongh (directeur Gemeentewerken). Gelegen aan het zuid-oostelijk uiteinde van de Boezemsingel en oorspronkelijk behorend tot het Oostelijk stoomgemaal van Rose's Waterproject uit 1842.
Omschrijving:
Het voormalig vuilvisgebouw bestaat uit één bouwlaag op een vrijwel vierkante plattegrond. Het met zinkplaatjes bedekte schilddak, op de nokken versierd met smeedijzeren crêtekam, is aan alle vier zijden voorzien van overstekende, dwarse steekkappen met gedecoreerde gietijzeren korbelen. De overstekende, licht geprofileerde daklijst wordt in het verlengde van de gevelstijlen ondersteund door houten sleutelstukken. De gevels bestaan uit vakwerk van alternerend schuine balken en Andreaskruisen gevuld met -in een staand metselverband- rode baksteen omrand door zwart geglazuurde baksteen.
Aan de waterzijde steunt het gebouw op een hardstenen rustica basement met drie rondbogen.
Waardering:
Pompgebouw annex vuilvishuis bij het uiteinde van de Boezemsingel, deel uitmakend van W.N. Roses Waterproject en als zodanig van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde alsook uit stedebouwkundig en industrieel- archeologische oogpunt.

Description of the Vuilvishuisje
Introduction:
The PUMP BUILDING annexed VUILVISHUISJE built in 1890-91 in Chalet style to a design by W.A. Scholten and G.J de Jongh (director of Municipal Works). Located at the south-eastern end of the Boezemsingel and originally belonging to the Eastern steam pumping station of Rose's Water Project from 1842.
Description:
The former sewage disposal building consists of a single storey on an approximately square ground plan. The hipped roof covered with zinc plates, decorated on the ridges with wrought-iron crête comb, is provided on all four sides with overhanging, transverse stress cabs with decorated cast-iron corbels. The overhanging, lightly profiled roof edge is supported in the extension of the gable pilasters by wooden keystones. The facades consist of timber framing of alternating diagonal beams and St. Andrew's Crosses filled with red brickwork in a running bond surrounded by black glazed brick.
On the water side the building rests on a sandstone rusticated basement with three round arches.
Valuation:
Pump building annexed sewage disposal building at the end of the Boezemsingel, forming part of W.N. Rose's Water Project and as such of general importance on account of architectural and cultural-historical value as well as from an urban planning and industrial-archaeological perspective.
