Inleiding
BOERDERIJCOMPLEX van het Westbrabantse type, uit de 19de eeuw, bestaande uit woonhuis met schuur en open karschop, tweede woonhuis annex bedrijfsgedeelte, middenlangsdeelschuur, bakhuis, wasplaats, waterput en pomp. Verder heeft het een gaaf boerenerf, waaronder een boerenhof, siertuin, boomgaard, beukenhaag en leilinden voor het woonhuis.
Beschrijving
Het eenlaags gepleisterde woonhuis heeft een rieten zadeldak met kleine dakramen tussen topgevels met vlechtingen en schoorstenen. Het heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en is vijf raamassen breed met in de voorgevel een dichtgezette deur met aan weerszijden twee beluikte vensters. Aan de straatzijde, in de vroegere achtergevel, ligt links van het midden de huidige ingang, bestaande uit een paneeldeur met vierpas decoraties. De deur is aanzienlijk lager dan de haar flankerende smalle T-vensters met driedelig bovenlicht en luiken. Het deurkozijn heeft een baksteendecoratie in blokverband, dezelfde als de plint rondom het huis. Kelderramen in voor- en zijgevel en een venster met roedeverdeling wijzen op onderkeldering en een opkamer. Alle vensters hebben luiken en een roedeverdeling. Staafankers in langs- en kopgevels. Voor en achter het huis een stoep. Vijf leilinden op het erf.
Tegen het woonhuis ligt een houten schuur met open tweedelig karschop onder golfplaten schilddak. Sporen van het oorspronkelijke rieten dak zijn nog zichtbaar aan de woonhuismuur. Rechts van de getoogde karschopopeningen hoge dub bele deuren. Aan de zijkant een overdekte wasplaats. Aan de achterkant heeft de schuur een recente stenen muur.
Het tweede in handvorm baksteen opgetrokken zomerhuis heeft een woon- en bedrijfsgedeelte onder een zadeldak met Oudhollandse pannen tussen topgevels. Het woongedeelte met drietraps, de bedrijfskant met halfronde bekroning met ijzeren tuimelvenster in de topgevel. De huis- en bedrijfsingang liggen elk in een korte gevel, die van het huis is gepleisterd. Alle vensters hebben luiken, de grotere ven sters hebben een roedeverdeling. Het bedrijfsgedeelte heeft hoge opgeklampte deuren met vierruitsvensters in de kopgevel en getoogde opgeklampte deuren in de zijgevel.
Het in baksteen opgetrokken bakhuis heeft een zadeldak met kruispannen tussen tuitgevels, waarvan de top van de voorgevel is gecementeerd. Het heeft verder een opgeklampte deur, kleine vensters en een groot negenruitsschuifvenster met luiken.
De grote middenlangsdeelschuur onder golfplaten schilddak heeft voor en achter hoge dubbele inrij deuren onder opgetild dak. De schuur is opgetrokken uit steen en hout. Naar het open veld gericht ligt de stenen langszijde met om en om zeven getoogde opgeklampte dubbele deuren en zes getoogde zesdelige ijzeren stalramen. Aanliggend een grote verdiepte mestvaalt. De naar het erf gerichte houten langszijde heeft een lage uitbouw onder lessenaardak met kruispannen.
Rond alle gebouwen liggen stoepen, onderling verbonden door klinkerpaden. De uitzonderlijk gave erfbeplanting wordt langs de weg omzoomd door een lage geschoren beukenhaag met een voet van klimopbeplanting in de greppel. Vermeldenswaard is de jonge lindeboom die op 0.6 m hoogte groeit uit de stronk van een omgezaagde oude lindeboom van ca. 2.70 m omtrek.
Waardering
Het boerderijcomplex heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling en uit oogpunt van agrarische bedrijfsontwikkeling. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als vertegenwoordiger van het meest authentieke boerderijcomplex van het Westbrabantse type dat in de gemeente bewaard is gebleven. Het is van belang wegens de gaafheid van de samenstellende onderdelen. Verder draagt het boerderijcomplex met haar beplanting bij tot de visuele gaafheid van de omgeving.

FARMSTEAD COMPLEX of the West Brabant type, from the 19th century, consisting of a dwelling house with barn and open cart shed, second dwelling house with business section, central through-passage barn, bake house, wash place, water well and pump. Furthermore it has a well-preserved farmyard, including a farm court, ornamental garden, orchard, beech hedge and lime trees in front of the dwelling house.
Description
The single-storey rendered dwelling house has a thatched gabled roof with small roof dormers between gable ends with wattling and chimneys. It has a rectangular plan and is five window bays wide with in the front facade a blocked-up door with two shuttered windows on either side. On the street side, in the former rear gable, to the left of centre lies the current entrance, consisting of a panel door with quatrefoil decorations. The door is considerably lower than the narrow T-windows flanking it with three-part fanlight and shutters. The door frame has a brick decoration in flemish bond, the same as the plinth running around the house. Cellar windows in front and side gable and a window with glazing bars indicate a basement and an upper room. All windows have shutters and glazing bars. Rod anchors in side and gable ends. A stoep in front of and behind the house. Five lime trees on the farmyard.
Against the dwelling house lies a wooden barn with open two-part cart shed under a corrugated-iron hipped roof. Traces of the original thatched roof are still visible on the dwelling house wall. To the right of the arched cart shed openings high double doors. On the side a covered wash place. At the rear the barn has a recent stone wall.
The second dwelling house built in handmade brick has a residential and business section under a gabled roof with Old Dutch tiles between gable ends. The business section has high clamped doors with four-pane windows in the gable end and arched clamped doors in the side gable.
