Inleiding
Omstreeks 1915, in opdracht van de P.T.T. gebouwde houten, creme geschilderde loods op rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak, bedoeld voor de opslag van houten palen voor het bovengronds telefoonnet.
Omschrijving
De vijf traveeen diepe loods is opgebouwd uit vrij overspannende houten spanten op houten muurstijlen, welke zijn geplaatst op natuurstenen poeren, opgenomen in de rode bakstenen plint. De wanden zijn geheel opgebouwd uit vertikaal lattenwerk tussen de muurstijlen, t.b.v. de ventilatie. De overstekken van het dak zijn rondom voorzien van gesloten vertikaal lattenwerk met gedecoreerde onderrand. De overstekken aan de topgevels en de linkerzijgevel bezitten tussen de met snijwerk gedecoreerde korbeelkonstrukties paneelplafonds; de topgevels zijn afgewerkt met een grijzig geschilderde daklijst met rolstukken aan de uiteinden en een gedecoreerde houten bekroning. In tegenstelling tot de linker zijgevel is de, zonder deuren uitgevoerde, rechter zijgevel slechts van een zeer gering overstek voorzien. Het flauw hellende zadeldak met zinken mastgoten is gedekt met -eterniet- golfplaten, op enkele plaatsen, t.b.v. lichttoetreding, onderbroken door transparante, recentere kunststof golfplaat.
De hoofdtoegang tot de loods bevindt zich aan de voorgevel waar alle vier traveeen zijn voorzien van dubbele latten deuren. In de linker zijgevel bevinden zich in de achterste twee traveeën forse, enkelvoudige lattendeuren, in de achtergevel een vrij klein dubbel latten-deurstel.
Ter plaatse van de eerste travee, is aan de linker zijgevel een zitbankje aangebracht. Aan de top van de voorgevel bevinden zich restanten van isolatoren t.b.v. voormalige elektriciteitsaansluitingen.
Waardering
Van belang als onderdeel van het complex en vanwege de eenvoudige, zorgvuldig uitgevoerde decoraties van architectuurhistorische waarde.

Description
The five-bay deep shed is constructed from freely spanning wooden roof trusses on wooden wall posts, which are placed on natural stone bases, set in the red brick plinth. The walls are entirely constructed of vertical lath work between the wall posts, for purposes of ventilation. The roof overhangs are all provided with closed vertical lath work with decorated lower edge. The overhangs at the gable ends and the left side facade have panel ceilings between the corbel constructions with cut work; the gable ends are finished with a greyish-painted roof edge with roll mouldings at the ends and a decorated wooden crown. In contrast to the left side facade, the right side facade, executed without doors, has only a very slight overhang. The gently sloping gabled roof with zinc gutters is covered with asbestos cement corrugated sheets, interrupted in a few places, for light admission, by transparent, more recent plastic corrugated sheet.
The main entrance to the shed is located at the front facade where all four bays are provided with double lath doors. In the left side facade in the rear two bays are substantial, single lath doors, in the rear facade a relatively small pair of lath doors.
At the location of the first bay, a small bench is fitted to the left side facade. At the top of the front facade there are remains of insulators for former electricity connections.
