Omschrijving
Complex Poortgebouw, in oorsprong daterend van de 14e eeuwse stadsfortificatie. Het bouwwerk bestaat uit een buitenpoort, en een verbonden door wachtlokalen met weergang. Het oudste gedeelte stamt uit XIVa, de voorpoort dateert van plm 1500. Aan de stadszijde vertoont de poort twee natuurstenen trapgevels, gedateert 1559, met rolwerk in de stijl van de Vlaamse renaissance.

Description
Complex Gate building, originally dating from the 14th century city fortification. The structure consists of an outer gate, and a connected by guard rooms with fighting platform. The oldest part dates from the first half of the 14th century, the outer gate dates from circa 1500. On the city side the gate shows two natural stone stepped gables, dated 1559, with scrollwork in the style of Flemish renaissance.
