Omschrijving
Boerderij behorend tot de Zeeuwse schuurgroep (dwarsdeeltype) en volgens jaartalankers tegen de oostgevel gebouwd in 1792. Woonhuis en schuur onder een dak en geheel gedekt met Oud-Hollandse pannen. Het rechthoekige woongedeelte is gemetseld in IJsselsteen en wit geschilderd (de zuidgevel is bepleisterd). In de noordgevel bevinden zich de toegang en een keldervenstertje, in de zuidgevel twee negenlichtsvensters, en in de oostgevel - voorzover zichtbaar - een zeslichtsvenster op de zolderverdieping en een achtlichtsvenster schuin daaronder; de opkamer is voorzien van een zeslichtsvenster. De indeling bestaat uit een brede en een smalle beuk aan de noordzijde; in het oostelijk deel van de smalle beuk bevindt zich de opkamer, met daaronder een kelder met tongewelf. Enkelvoudige balklaag, kap recentelijk geheel vernieuwd. Gemetselde schuur, aan de zuidzijde lager uitlopend in de veestal. Het metselwerk tussen de twee mendeuren aan de noordzijde is in het begin van de 20ste eeuw vernieuwd, de westgevel en een deel van de zuidgevel zijn nog oorspronkelijk (IJsselsteen). De rest van het muurwerk van de zuidgevel is laat 19de-eeuws; het exterieur van de schuur werd rond 1994 gerestaureerd. Interieur en gebintconstructie van de schuur zijn nog authentiek (dekbalkgebint met daar een keperspant met hanebalk). Tegen de noord- en oostgevel bevinden zich aanbouwsels, die niet van monumentaal belang zijn. De boerderij is van groot landschappelijk belang gezien de ligging binnen een beschermd natuurgebied aan de Oosterschelde en van architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de complete eind 18de-eeuwse staat (met name het interieur van de schuur en het casco van het woongedeelte).

Description
Farm belonging to the Zeeland barn group (transverse-aisle type) and according to date anchors built against the east facade in 1792. Dwelling and barn under one roof and wholly covered with Old Dutch tiles. The rectangular residential section is built in IJssel stone and painted white (the south facade is plastered). In the north facade are the entrance and a small cellar window, in the south facade two nine-light windows, and in the east facade - insofar as visible - a six-light window on the attic floor and an eight-light window set slanted below it; the upper room is provided with a six-light window. The layout consists of a broad and a narrow aisle on the north side; in the eastern part of the narrow aisle is situated the upper room, with below it a cellar with barrel vault. Simple beam layer, roof recently entirely renewed. Brick barn, on the south side running lower into the cattle stall. The masonry between the two cart doors on the north side was renewed at the beginning of the 20th century, the west facade and part of the south facade are still original (IJssel stone). The rest of the south facade masonry is late 19th century; the exterior of the barn was restored around 1994. Interior and roof truss structure of the barn are still authentic (collar-beam truss with cambered collar tie with struts). Against the north and east facades are extensions, which are not of monumental importance. The farm is of considerable landscape importance given its location within a protected nature area by the Oosterschelde and of architectural and cultural historical value because of its complete late 18th-century state (in particular the interior of the barn and the casing of the residential section).
