Inleiding
Vml. DUBBEL WOONHUIS MET WINKEL in de gesloten wand van de Lindenstraat. Omstreeks 1900 gebouwd in eclectische stijl en thans in gebruik als dubbele wooneenheid met acht appartementen.
Het interieur van de panden is in 1975 in opdracht van de Woningvereniging Vaals verbouwd. Hierbij zijn aan de achtergevel enkele balkons en brandtrappen aangebracht en de beide dakzijden van nieuwe dakkapellen voorzien. Zowel de balkons, de brandtrappen als de dakkapellen zijn uitgesloten van bescherming. Het dubbele pand vormt door situering en stijl een eenheid met het appartementsgebouw 13 A/G-15 A/G.
Omschrijving
Het appartementsgebouw heeft drie bouwlagen plus souterrain- en zolderverdieping in lengterichting, het geheel onder een zadeldak met muldenpannen en luifelgoten op consoles. Pand nr. 9 heeft een gevelindeling met vijf vensterassen, waarvan de symmetrie wordt doorbroken door de voormalige winkelpui in de eerste bouwlaag. Pand nr. 11 heeft eveneens vijf vensterassen, maar is volledig symmetrisch. Gepleisterde voorgevels, met gestucte plinten, speklagen, imitatievoegen, gevellijsten, kaderlijsten en vensterlijsten. De sluitstenen van de vensterlijsten kenmerken zich door decoratieve ornamenten. Blauwstenen traptreden in de entrees. Segmentboogvormige houten T-vensters, segmentboogvormige houten paneeldeuren met bovenlicht en rechthoekige dubbele houten T-vensters in de winkelpui. De wit gesauste bakstenen achtergevel heeft tweemaal vijf traveeën, is voorzien van segmentboogvormige houten kruiskozijnen met achtruits roedeverdeling. De vensters aan weerszijden van de achterdeuren zijn uitgebroken voor de plaatsing van extra achteruitgangen.

Description
The apartment building has three storeys plus basement and attic storeys in the longitudinal direction, the whole under a gabled roof with pantiles and gutter cornices on consoles.
