SOKKEL OP DE WESTELIJKE LENGTE-AS VAN DE BINNENTUIN. Monumentale rechthoekige hardstenen sokkel op geprofileerd voetstuk met geprofileerde afdekplaat. De sokkel werd omstreeks 1886 opgesteld als 'point de vue' in het verlengde van de westelijke grachtarm langs het gazon gelegen ten noorden van de binnentuin, aan het eindpunt van de westelijke lengte-as van de binnentuin.
Thans is op de sokkel een recente copie van het beeld van een klassieke discuswerper geplaatst. De sokkel vormt het pendant van de sokkel opgesteld aan het eindpunt van de oostelijke lengte-as van de binnentuin.

Description
PLINTH ON THE WESTERN LONGITUDINAL AXIS OF THE INNER COURTYARD. Monumental rectangular hardstone plinth on moulded base with moulded coping. The plinth was set up around 1886 as a 'point de vue' in the extension of the western moat channel along the lawn situated north of the inner courtyard, at the end point of the western longitudinal axis of the inner courtyard.
Currently, a recent copy of the sculpture of a classical discus thrower is placed on the plinth. The plinth forms the pendant to the plinth placed at the end point of the eastern longitudinal axis of the inner courtyard.
