Inleiding
BRANDWEERKAZERNE gebouwd rond 1925 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie. In de ventilatieschachten werden de brandweerslangen gehangen om te drogen. Het gebouw is nu in gebruik als zogenaamd accumulatorenhuis.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaand in de hoek van een weg, een bouwlaag tellend gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond. Het geheel is uit baksteen opgetrokken in een sobere en functionele stijl en wordt gedekt door een met pannen belegd zadeldak; goot op klossen; windveren; dakruiter met zadeldak; ventilatieschacht met zadeldak. Zijgevels met 6-ruits ramen en later aangebrachte plaatijzeren inrijdeur. Topgevel met opgeklampte dubbele inrijdeur en loopdeur met 6-ruits bovenlicht; lateien; vlechting.
