Inleiding
PASTORIE gebouwd in 1908 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie naar ontwerp van W.C. Metzelaar. Het gebouw is een variant op woningtype VII. Voor het huis ligt een verzorgde tuin met symmetrisch padenbeloop en onder andere enkele bruine beuken. De pastorie is functioneel en visueel verbonden met de eveneens beschermde RK kerk (Kerklaan 6).
Omschrijving
In sobere en functionele stijl gebouwd vrijstaand woonhuis met verdieping en aanbouw met plat aan noordzijde, opgetrokken in gepleisterd baksteen gedekt door een met pannen belegd afgewolfd zadeldak; schoorsteen, windveren en geprofileerde gootlijst op klossen. De gevelopbouw bestaat uit een gemetselde plint, gepleisterde gevels met daarin gemetselde banden; getoogde 6-ruits schuiframen met persiennes, natuurstenen vensterbanken, geblokte hanekam in metselwerk, staafankers. De voorgevel is symmetrisch ingedeeld en heeft een terugspringend portaal; in de oostelijke gevel een breed venster met stijlen ten behoeve van het trappenhuis; kelderluik.

Description
A free-standing dwelling house with upper floor and extension with flat roof on the north side, constructed in a sober and functional style, erected in plastered brick covered by a hipped and tiled gabled roof; chimney, wind vanes and moulded eaves line on brackets. The facade composition consists of a moulded plinth, plastered facades with masonry bands set within them; arched 6-pane sash windows with blinds, natural stone window sills, blocked rooster comb in brickwork, rod anchors. The front facade is symmetrically divided and has a recessed portico; in the eastern facade a broad window with glazing bars for the benefit of the staircase; basement hatch.
