Inleiding
Blok van twee WONINGEN van het type IV, gebouwd in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie voor beambten van het ziekenhuis. Het gebouw met midden in de voorgevel de naam Helpt Elkander is in 1909 gebouwd naar ontwerp van W.C. Metzelaar. Visueel sterk verbonden met de woningen Ontwikkeling; Een van Zin.
Omschrijving
Evenwijdig aan de weg gelegen, functioneel gebouwd dubbel woonhuis met verdieping en aangebouwd toegangsportaal, opgetrokken uit baksteen en gedekt door een aan een zijde doorgetrokken zadeldak met pannen en windveren. Schoorsteen in het voorste dakschild; eenvoudig geprofileerde goot, staafankers. De gevels zijn symmetrisch ingedeeld door licht getoogde vensters met luiken, hardstenen vensterbanken en oorspronkelijk 12-ruits schuiframen (thans resteert daarvan nog een 6-ruits bovenlicht) en paarsgewijs geplaatste 4- ruits steekramen. Portaal onder lessenaardak; opgeklampte deur met lichtgetoogd 2-ruits bovenlicht en 6-ruits schuifraam.
