Blok van twee WONINGEN gebouwd in 1919 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie en ontworpen door J.G. Robbers.
Omschrijving
In sobere en functionele stijl uitgevoerd dubbel woonhuis, opgetrokken uit baksteen en gedekt door een samengesteld rieten schilddak; schoorstenen. De bakstenen gevels zijn deels met hout bekleed en hebben onder meer vensters (met gewijzigde detaillering) met luiken in de voorgevel en verdiepingsramen onder een overstekende rieten kap. Overhoeks geplaatste ingangsportiek. Zijdeur onder houten luifel.
Waardering
Essentieel onderdeel van het uitzonderlijk waardevolle complex Veenhuizen en van architectonisch en stedebouwkundig belang. Overwegend gaaf.

Double dwelling executed in sober and functional style, constructed of brick and covered by a combined thatched hipped roof; chimneys. The brick facades are partly clad with wood and feature among other things windows (with modified detailing) with shutters in the front facade and storey windows beneath an overhanging thatched hood. Corner-placed entrance porch. Side door beneath wooden canopy.
Evaluation
Essential component of the exceptionally valuable complex Veenhuizen and of architectural and urban design importance. Predominantly intact.
