Inleiding
DUBBEL WOONHUIS met aan een zijde een aangebouwde SCHUUR in een ambachtelijke stijl uitgevoerd. Vanwege de afwijkende bouwvorm van het rond 1870 gebouwde dubbele woonhuis is het mogelijk dat gebouw van oorsprong een andere functie heeft gekend. De schuur is waarschijnlijk later bijgebouwd (ca 1890) en heeft diverse aanpassingen ondergaan. De bescherming betreft het dubbele woonhuis en de hoofdvorm van de schuur.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekige grondslag gebaseerd en in baksteen opgetrokken dubbel woonhuis gedekt door een rietdak aan noordzijde met wolfeind en aan zuidzijde met schild. Het oostelijke dakschild is deels doorgetrokken ten behoeve van een aangebouwde stalruimte; schoorstenen met kappen in de nok. Gevelopbouw met 6-ruits schuiframen met rondgezette bovenhoeken afgesloten door een rollaag; natuurstenen vensterbanken; geprofileerde daklijst onder de uitkragende rietkap. De asymmetrische voorgevel heeft bovendien twee gemetselde asymmetrisch geplaatste lisenen en twee deuren met bovenlicht. Noordzijde met 4-ruits zolderramen eveneens met rondgezette bovenhoeken; staafankers. Aan weerskanten van de deur een klein venster.
De schuur is in baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door een afgewolfd rietdak. Voorzijde met getoogde baander met loopdeur; in de noordelijke zijgevel getoogde gietijzeren 6- ruits stalramen.
Waardering
Dubbel woonhuis met aangebouwde schuur van cultuurhistorisch belang (met zekere reserve) vanwege de afwijkende hoofdvorm en een daaraan mogelijk te verbinden eertijds andere functie; van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de vormgeving en vanwege de zeldzame hoofdvorm. Daarnaast is het pand van stedenbouwkundig belang als beeldbepalend element in de in structureel opzicht nog redelijk gave brinkstructuur.

DOUBLE DWELLING HOUSE with on one side an attached BARN executed in an artisanal style. Because of the unusual building form of the double dwelling house built around 1870, it is possible that building originally had a different function. The barn was probably built later (circa 1890) and has undergone various modifications. The protection concerns the double dwelling house and the main form of the barn.
Description
Based on a rectangular ground plan and built of brick, double dwelling house covered by a thatched roof on the north side with half-hip and on the south side with hip. The eastern roof slope is partly extended for an attached stable room; chimneys with caps at the ridge. Facade construction with 6-pane sash windows with rounded upper corners closed off by a drip moulding; natural stone window sills; profiled eaves line under the cantilevered thatch roof. The asymmetrical front facade furthermore has two brick mouldings placed asymmetrically and two doors with fanlights. North side with 4-pane hayloft windows likewise with rounded upper corners; bar anchors. On either side of the door a small window.
The barn is built of brick and covered by a barrel-vaulted thatched roof. Front with arched baander with passage door; in the northern side facade arched cast-iron 6-pane stable windows.
Evaluation
Double dwelling house with attached barn of cultural-historical importance (with some reservation) because of the unusual main form and a possible former different function associated with it; of architectural-historical importance because of the design and because of the rare main form. In addition, the property is of urban planning importance as an image-determining element in the structurally reasonably intact brink structure.
