DUBBELE BOERDERIJ gebouwd in ambachtelijke stijl en in oorsprong vroeg achttiende-eeuws maar sindsdien aangepast en met een detaillering van de gevels die in hoofdlijnen dateert uit de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw.
Omschrijving
Dubbele boerderij bestaande uit twee tegen elkaar aangelegen woonhuis met aan weerskanten een aangebouwd bedrijfsgedeelte. De boerderij is in baksteen opgetrokken met een constructie van ankerbalkgebinten en wordt gedekt door een afgewolfd rietdak met gevlochten nok; deels met pannen onderlangs; schoorsteen in de nok. Het woonhuis heeft aan de straatzijde vier getoogde 6-ruits schuiframen met een rollaag afgedekt met gele friese steen; staafankers; deur met bovenlicht. Rechts van het woonhuis het bedrijfsgedeelte van Kruisstraat 23 bestaande uit een baander met loopdeur en aan weerskanten een gietijzeren rondboogvenster. De westelijke zijgevel is deels aangepast. De achtergevel van Kruisstraat 23 heeft onder meer een kelderraam met diefijzers en een klein 4-ruits raam voor de opkamer. De noordelijke schuurgevel van Kruisstraat 25 heeft getoogde gietijzeren 6-ruits stalramen en mestdeuren. De achtergevel heeft een getoogde baander met loopdeur met aan weerskanten een gietijzeren rondboogvenster; rechts hiervan twee staldeuren; scheef boven de baander is een hooiluik geplaatst.

Dubbele boerderij van cultuurhistorisch belang vanwege de ontwikkeling in het agrarisch bedrijf en de typologische aanpassing van de bedrijfsbebouwing; van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de vormgeving, het materiaalgebruik en de zeldzaamheid. Double farmhouse consisting of two adjoining dwelling houses each with an attached business section on either side. The farmhouse is constructed in brick with a construction of wall anchors and beams and is covered by a curved thatched roof with braided ridge; partly with tiles underneath; chimney in the ridge. The dwelling house has on the street side four arched 6-pane sash windows covered with a roll moulding with yellow Friesian stone; rod anchors; door with fanlight. To the right of the dwelling house the business section of Kruisstraat 23 consisting of a barn with walking door and on either side a cast-iron round-arch window. The western side facade is partly adapted. The rear facade of Kruisstraat 23 has amongst other things a cellar window with theft bars and a small 4-pane window for the upper room. The northern barn gable of Kruisstraat 25 has arched cast-iron 6-pane stable windows and manure doors. The rear facade has an arched barn with walking door with on either side a cast-iron round-arch window; to the right of this two stable doors; a hayloft is placed askew above the barn.
Valuation
Double farmhouse of cultural-historical importance because of the development in the agrarian business and the typological adaptation of the business buildings; of architectural-historical importance because of the design, the use of materials and the rarity. In addition, the building is of urban-planning importance because of its important appearance in relation to the surroundings.
