Omschrijving
Binnen het beschermde dorpsgezicht Raren gelegen, uit de 18e eeuw daterend vakwerkhuis met verdieping, op rechthoekige plattegrond en onder met grijze Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak met wolfeind aan de zuidzijde.
De zuidgevel (nr 3) is opgetrokken in schoon metselwerk, heeft op de begane grond een getoogd 6-ruits venster en een getoogde deur, op de verdieping twee getoogde vensters met elk twee 4-ruits draairamen en een getoogd zoldervenster. In de lange oost- en westgevel kleine 4-ruits vensters op de verdieping en iets grotere vensters op de begane grond. Het vakwerk heeft ten dele met leem en ten dele met baksteen gevulde vakken, die aan de westzijde witgeschilderd zijn. Aan de westzijde een geschoord dakoverstek.
Vanwege de constructie, de kleine gevelopeningen en de samenhang met het beschermde dorpsgezicht een goed en representatief voorbeeld van 18e eeuwse vakwerkbouw en als zodanig van belang uit oogpunt van oudheidkundige en volkskundige waarde.

Description
Located within the protected village character of Raren, half-timbered house dating from the 18th century with storey, on rectangular floor plan and under gabled roof with half-hipped end on the south side covered with grey Dutch tiles.
The south facade (no. 3) is constructed in fair brickwork, has on the ground floor an arched 6-pane window and an arched door, on the storey two arched windows each with two 4-pane casement windows and an arched attic window. In the long east and west facades small 4-pane windows on the storey and somewhat larger windows on the ground floor. The timber framing has in part laths and clay and in part brick-filled panels, which on the west side are whitewashed. On the west side a braced roof overhang.
Because of the construction, the small window openings and the relationship with the protected village character of Raren, a good and representative example of 18th century timber-framed construction and as such of importance from the point of view of archaeological and folkloristic value.
