Inleiding
GRAANDROGERIJ, gebouwd rond 1860 in opdracht van de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid. Het gebouw is geplaatst op poeren om de drogende werking te bevorderen. Tussen de graandrogerij en de omliggende industriële gebouwen bestaat een nauwe relatie.
Omschrijving
In sobere en functionele stijl gebouwde schuur. Langgerekte hoofdzakelijk uit baksteen opgetrokken en op poeren geplaatste graanschuur onder met riet gedekt afgewolfd zadeldak met uileborden. De gewelfvormige overspanningen tussen de poeren en de staafankers in de zijgevels geven het gebouw een bijzonder ritme. De kopsegevels worden geleed door een getoogde toegangsdeur met aan weerszijden een rondboogvenster en er boven een rond venster met eenvoudige tracering; staafankers. In het bovenste gedeelte van de zijgevels houten ventilatieluiken en liggende 10-ruitsramen.
