WOONHUIS gebouwd rond 1870 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie en bestemd als woning van de koetsier. Het ontwerp is van J.F. Metzelaar. Bijgebouw en aanbouw aan achterzijde vallen buiten bescherming.
Omschrijving
Haaks op de weg gelegen, sober maar met aandacht voor ambachtelijke details gebouwd woonhuis, opgetrokken uit baksteen en gedekt door een zadeldak met pannen; windveren en eenvoudige goot. Verbreding naar achteren (rond 1950 opnieuw opgemetseld, maar zonder gele banden). Opbouw met trasraam, geel gemetselde banden en een profiellijst met medaillonversiering. Symmetrische voorgevel met samengestelde 6-ruitsramen met gebogen bovendorpel en hanekam, getoogd verdiepingsraam in topgevel. Zijgevels met getoogde 6- ruitsramen. Toegangsdeur in westelijke zijgevel.

Perpendicular to the road situated, sober but with attention to craft details built dwelling house, constructed of brick and covered by a gabled roof with tiles; wind braces and simple gutter. Widening toward rear (around 1950 re-laid but without yellow bands). Construction with tuff stone, yellow-laid bands and a moulding profile with medallion ornamentation. Symmetrical front facade with composite 6-pane windows with curved head-beam and decorative timber piece, arched storey window in gable. Side facades with arched 6-pane windows. Access door in western side facade.
Valuation
Essential component of the exceptionally valuable area Veenhuizen and of architectural, typological and urban planning importance. Intact.
