Inleiding
WOONHUIS gebouwd rond 1875 in traditionele trant en vermoedelijk rond 1890 vergroot; de evenwichtig vormgegeven dakkapel aan voorzijde dateert van 1910. Vermeldenswaardig is het giet- en smeedijzeren hekwerk aan de straatzijde. De bijgebouwen vallen buiten de bescherming.
Omschrijving.
Op rechthoekige grondslag gebaseerd woonhuis gedekt door een afgeknot schilddak met vier schoorstenen op de nokhoeken en een opgemetselde dakkapel in de voorgevel. Het huis is naar achteren toe uitgebreid hetgeen te herkennen is aan het pleisterwerk en de onderbreking van de gootlijst. Het oorspronkelijke huis is in baksteen opgetrokken, heeft een gepleisterde plint, getoogde vensters en een brede geprofileerde daklijst met op klossen geplaatste geprofileerde goten. De symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel heeft een natuurstenen stoep naar de centraal gelegen paneeldeur met bovenlicht en een zware deuromlijsting in classicistische trant. Boven de entree en de daklijst een opgemetselde dakkapel met geprofileerde daklijst met fronton en een invulling met een getoogd venster met openslaande ramen en bovenlicht, geflankeerd door twee kleinere getoogde vensters; alle met rode steen uitgevoerde strekken. De rond 1890 aangebrachte uitbreiding is in pleisterwerk uitgevoerd. De achtergevel (met allure van een voorgevel) is symmetrisch opgezet (de platte aanbouw aan de rechterzijde is verstorend) met een risaliserende gevelopbouw met plint, hoekpilasters en middenrisaliet waarin schijnvoegen zijn aangebracht. Centraal een dubbele deur met rondboog bovenlicht; bewerkte consoles die een niet oorspronkelijk balkon dragen dat toegankelijk is via een van pleisterwerk voorziene dakkapel. A dwelling based on a rectangular ground plan covered by a truncated hipped roof with four chimneys on the ridge corners and a rendered roof dormer in the front elevation. The house is extended towards the rear which can be recognised from the plasterwork and the break in the eaves cornice. The original house is constructed in brick, has a plastered plinth, segmental-arched windows and a broad moulded eaves cornice with moulded gutters placed on corbels. The symmetrically arranged front elevation has a natural stone stoop leading to the centrally located panelled door with fanlight and a heavy door surround in classical manner. Above the entrance and the eaves cornice a rendered roof dormer with moulded eaves cornice with pediment and a filling with a segmental-arched window with French casements and fanlight, flanked by two smaller segmental-arched windows; all executed with red brick stretchers. The extension made around 1890 is executed in plasterwork. The rear elevation (with the appearance of a front elevation) is symmetrically arranged (the flat extension on the right-hand side is visually disruptive) with a projecting gable construction with plinth, corner pilasters and central projection in which joint lines have been rendered. Centrally a pair of doors with segmental fanlight; worked consoles supporting a non-original balcony accessible via a roof dormer furnished with plasterwork. Windows with moulded surrounds and drip moulding. The northern side elevation contains among other things two basement windows with protective grilles.
