BAKSTENEN MUUR. Rode bakstenen muur, die de historische buitenplaats Blumenthal aan drie (ZW-, ZO-, NO-) omgeeft. Aansluitend aan de rechterzijde van de reeds bestaande bakstenen balustrade met pijlers aan de voor(ZW-)zijde van de buitenplaats werd de muur omstreeks 1848 opgetrokken, toen op Blumenthal een klooster met pensionaat van de Dames du Sacre Coeur werd gevestigd. Aan de voorzijde gaat de muur, die een stuk hoger is opgetrokken dan de balustrade aan de linkerzijde en die op deze plaats recentelijk vernieuwd is, in twee schuine hoeken haaks om. In het gedeelte aan de rechterzijde van de historische buitenplaats zijn onlangs even ter weerszijden van de rechterzijde van het huis twee nieuwe tijdelijke ingangen gemaakt. Ter hoogte van de achterzijde van de historische aanleg gaat de muur in een rechte hoek naar links om en eindigt even voorbij de linker grens van de historische aanleg. Description
BRICK WALL. Red brick wall, which surrounds the historic country estate Blumenthal on three sides (SW, SE, NE). Adjacent to the right side of the already existing brick balustrade with piers on the front (SW) side of the country estate, the wall was erected around 1848, when a convent with boarding school of the Dames du Sacre Coeur was established at Blumenthal. On the front side, the wall, which is constructed considerably higher than the balustrade on the left side and which has recently been renewed in this place, turns at right angles in two oblique corners. In the section on the right side of the historic country estate, two new temporary entrances have recently been made on either side of the right side of the house. At the height of the rear of the historic layout, the wall turns at a right angle to the left and ends just beyond the left boundary of the historic layout.
