Inleiding.
Voormalige diaconale bakkerij annex woonhuis voor de bakker en bergplaats voor granen, gebouwd in 1855 in eclectische bouwstijl naar ontwerp van A. Roodenburg, in opdracht van de Nederduitsche Hervormde Gemeente. In 1864 werd een "broodkamer" aangebouwd en in 1897 een lokaal voor brooduitgifte. NB. De moderne aanbouw tegen de achtergevel is van bescherming uitgesloten. Omschrijving.
Voormalige bakkerij annex woonhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond, bestaande uit begane grond en verdieping onder een schilddak, vijf vensterassen breed. De bakstenen voorgevel bezit een stenen plint en wordt aan weerszijden afgesloten door bakstenen pilasters. De bouwlagen worden van elkaar gescheiden door een gepleisterde cordonlijst. De middenas is als risaliet uitgebouwd en opgetrokken tot een topgevel. Hierin bevindt zich de ingang, bestaande uit een dubbele paneeldeur en een rondboogbovenlicht. De vensters op de begane grond zijn zesruitsschuifvensters met verticaal gedeeld rondboogbovenlicht; op de verdieping bevinden zich deels zesruits- en deels negenruitsschuifvensters. Onder de top van de middenas is een halfcirkelvormig venster. De linkerzijgevel bezit moderne vensters en deels dichtgezette bakstenen oculi. De rechterzijgevel is blind. Waardering.

Former bakery together with dwelling house on a rectangular plan, consisting of ground floor and first floor under a hipped roof, five window bays wide. The brick front facade has a stone plinth and is closed off on either side by brick pilasters. The storeys are separated from each other by a rendered string course. The central bay is built out as a risalit and carried up to a gable. This contains the entrance, consisting of a double panel door and a round-arched fanlight. The windows on the ground floor are six-pane sash windows with vertically divided round-arched fanlight; on the first floor there are partly six-pane and partly nine-pane sash windows. Below the top of the central gable is a semicircular window. The left side facade has modern windows and partly blocked brick oculi. The right side facade is blank. Evaluation.
