Inleiding.
Rechterdeel van de in oorsprong vrijstaande villa Winjewanje, gebouwd tussen 1924-1927 door de architecten F. Gerretsen en C. Wegerif in antroposofische vormgeving. Naderhand gesplitst in twee woonhuizen. NB. De eenlaagsaanbouwen aan de achterzijde uit de jaren zeventig zijn van bescherming uitgesloten. Omschrijving.
De in oorsprong als een geheel opgezette villa staat op complexe plattegrond en bestaat uit twee bouwlagen onder een samengestelde kap. Het pand is door de architecten Frits Gerretsen en C. Wegerif ontworpen volgens de principes van de door Rudolf Steiner ontwikkelde antroposofische levensbeschouwing. Kenmerken hiervan zijn onder meer onregelmatige, aan de natuur ontleende vormen, a-symmetrische vensters en een uit meerdere facetten opgebouwde dakpartij, die in "Winjewanje" duidelijk tot uitdrukking komen. De bakstenen muren zijn wit gepleisterd. Het dak, nu met shingles gedekt, had oorspronkelijk een zwart leien dekking. De ingangen in de zijgevels zijn in een ondiep asymmetrisch portiek gesitueerd. Het vierlichtskozijn op de begane grond in de zuidoostelijke gevel werd in 1925 gewijzigd en kwam toen ca. 25 cm buiten het vlak van de gevel te liggen. Waardering.
Villa van architectuurhistorische waarde als zeldzaam voorbeeld van een volgens de principes van de antroposofische levensbeschouwing ontworpen pand. Hoofdvorm en detaillering zijn gaaf bewaard.

The villa, originally conceived as a unified whole, stands on a complex floor plan and consists of two storeys under a compound roof. The building was designed by the architects Frits Gerretsen and C. Wegerif according to the principles of the anthroposophic philosophy of life developed by Rudolf Steiner. Characteristics thereof include, among others, irregular forms derived from nature, asymmetrical windows and a roof section composed of multiple facets, which in "Winjewanje" are clearly expressed. The brick walls are rendered white. The roof, now covered with shingles, originally had a black slate covering. The entrances in the side facades are situated in a shallow asymmetrical portico. The four-light cross window on the ground floor in the south-eastern facade was modified in 1925 and then came to lie approximately 25 cm outside the plane of the facade. Valuation.
