Inleiding.
Pastorie in laat eclectische stijl uit 1877-1878 op rechthoekige plattegrond, ontworpen door T.J. Wouters. Het pand is verbonden met de neogotische kerk O.L. Vrouw Onbevlekt Ontvangen, Elandstraat 54.
Omschrijving.
Het pand in eenvoudige eclectische stijl bestaat uit twee bouwlagen en een omgaand schilddak. De voorgevel is in de straatwand opgenomen en telt vijf vensterassen. De middelste travee met op de begane grond een ingangspartij in neo-Lodewijk XIV stijl risaleert en accentueert de symmetrische opzet van de gevel. De begane grond heeft vier H-vensters met glas-in-lood bovenlichten; de eerste verdieping vijf zesruits schuifvensters. De ingangspartij wordt gevormd door pilasters met voluten die een hoofdgestel dragen. De voordeur, oorspronkelijk een dubbele paneeldeur, is in 1947 vervangen door een enkele deur. Het bovenlicht heeft glas-in-lood. De voorgevel wordt van boven beëindigd door een forse gecorniste kroonlijst. De gevel en de gebosseerde hoekpilasters zijn in schoon metselwerk uitgevoerd. De geprofileerde vensteromlijstingen, de ingangspartij en de kroonlijst zijn van hout; de plint van de gevel en de onderdorpels van alle negen vensters van natuursteen. Het dak is met pannen gedekt.

The building in simple eclectic style consists of two storeys and a surrounding hipped roof. The front facade is incorporated in the street wall and has five window bays. The middle bay with on the ground floor an entrance section in neo-Louis XIV style projects and accentuates the symmetrical design of the facade. The ground floor has four H-windows with leaded glass fanlights; the first storey five six-pane sash windows. The entrance section is formed by pilasters with volutes that carry a principal lintel. The front door, originally a double panelled door, was replaced in 1947 by a single door. The fanlight has leaded glass. The front facade is terminated above by a substantial corniced cornice. The facade and the rusticated corner pilasters are executed in fair-faced brickwork. The profiled window surrounds, the entrance section and the cornice are of wood; the plinth of the facade and the window sills of all nine windows are of natural stone. The roof is tiled.
